I think it is well established that "DEI" to Republicans means anyone who isn't white, regardless of qualifications. The Trump administration has determined a person's qualifications are based on social media followers, or how much Trump wants to fuck them.

It's alarming how much those two overlap.

That has nothing to do with them working and more with Trump being Trump and not keeping a thought for more than 1 day at a time unless it is something he hates. He actively saw some of the largest drops in the Stock Market back in 2020(he has the top 5 by pure point drop) and has seen what the panic looks like with this.

Anyway, lets put some bets on who gets to be the Designated Survivor during the State of the Union address. I'll put my money on Putin or Musk. And no, it doesn't actually have to be anyone in the line of succession or even a natural born citizen. It just has to be someone that normally wouldn't attend the address.

Best part is, they are actually....gasp.....following the law with allowing the Departments to decide who to fire. The NSF already has hired back all the people that were fired by OPM.

I've said it earlier in the thread. Trump could literally get everything he wants seeing as Congress would pretty much do whatever he wants seeing as he literally has a very agreeable Congress. And yet decides to just do his own thing. That is what makes what is going on so idiotic.

"I've decided not to do that immoral, unethical, illegal thing" is not a cause for celebration. They should still be called out for trying and also mocked for wasting everyone's time, including theirs.

Better yet, they're setting a pattern of bully-like behavior: do something aggressively wrong, but then curl up like boiled shrimp the second anyone opposes them. Literally every state and agency should sue every change they make from now on. They'll fold, they've demonstrated that.
