Do you even know what the word progressive means? you clearly do not if you think it's "Zenith" was Joe Biden. The democratic party has never embraced progressivism aside from surface level issues and virtue signaling bullshit. The last progressive president this country had was FDR, neo liberalism has been the norm.

Not voting IS FAFO voting. Not voting is also a vote choice.

Everyone knew, he told every single time. He said he was going to eat everyone's face, but people only heard "yes, he is going to eat my enemies' faces!". It was about feelings.

This right here, is internet brain rot at it's finest when you think these normies working normie jobs getting off work and watching some netflix or playing a game are out here looking up what Trump said today and the next day. Thinking they know about project 2025, thinking they know about Elon Musk going to gut the federal government.

Stop assuming everyone consumes the same as your bubble.

This is why you don't run a campaign on "I'm not evil like Trump". It fucking failed, because you offered the people nothing and the bigots are gonna go vote for Trump anyways.

  6. #101426
She didn't run on and promote aggressive and overt anti-trans policies, like her opponent did.
My whole political stance pretty much boils down to "I care about other people and the planet" and wow does that make some people mad.

Then yet again, as I said before, it's all about voters' fault.

If people didn't care about the Orange Senile said, a guy that thinks politics is Reality TV and do anything for viewers, why would they care about people talking about hard cold political facts?

And most people perceived Harris wouldn’t offer them anything economically, and (foolishly) that trump would.

"Progressive voters" are not who you should be worried about. Yes some of them maybe voted 3rd party in protest but not enough to matter.

You think Obama won in a landslide because of "progressive voters" when his campaign was progressive as fuck? No, he won because he offered people health care and ran on it. That wasn't just "progressive voters" voting for him. The one thing you people still keep failing to realize is progressive policies are by and large popular regardless of if the person considers themselves a progressive or not.
I think you misunderstand me. I’m not saying don’t push progressive policies, I’m saying contextualize them in ways that appeal to what the majority of out-of-the-loop politically uninformed voters care about, and that’s their wallets.

I don’t agree with Harris’ take on Israel, but at the same time I don’t think her driving a hard line on them would have moved the needle in her favor in any remotely appreciable way if she still failed to address people’s concerns about the economy, or at least take the narrative over from Trump.

They aren't going to be able to buy a house anyways unless you offer them education and jobs.
You think low-income people don't buy homes? There's a difference between being low income and being in poverty.

You straight up got conned by neo liberal bullshit that offered very little substance to the voting base of the dems while they where out talking about building border walls, dick riding the war criminal family known as the Cheneys and performing felatio on israel even though Netanyahu was cucking them anyways cause he likes Trump's dick more. Great strategy trying to get white suburban voters in on you, golf clap.
Where's the con? I'd gladly take neo liberal BS over what's happening now. Wouldn't you? You don't get a "neither" option, or your own little ideal fantasy of how things should be, because in the real world you were either going to get the neo liberal BS or the neo fascist nightmare Trump is currently creating. If you're being honest with yourself (and I seriously doubt you are), you would know from the get go that one scenario is clearly better than the other.

This is part of the issue. Joe Biden was objectively a progressive, he surrounded himself with progressive staffers, he apointed progressive people to work as secretaries and pushed for progressive policy everywhere he could. And still he wasnt progressive enough for the lot of you. I expect this sort of reaction from Endus bc he is an ideologue and nothing short of marxism leninism can satisfy him. But if you are a progressive you need to be made aware that this sort of purity testing is not doing anything to help the cause.

Joe Biden literally joined unions in the picket line and allowed the port union strike to go uninterrupted something that not even places like Canada have allowed where they have come down hard on their transportation workers striking.

If thats not progressive enough nothing is.

Trans rights aren't a "progressive" thing. The only way to oppose trans rights is by expressing overt bigotry against trans people. This is just backing up my "A lot of Americans are bigots" point.

It is just a gender-rights and virtue signal paint on neoliberalism. It still lacks alot of other social factors to be consider really progressive.

I'm not saying Democrats have to run on Trump-lite. The American voters are.

The notion that progressives can't reveal themselves because the Democrats first need to become progressive is bullshit.
The Tea party give you a literal blueprint for how to stage a hostile takeover of a party. The only reason the progressives can't do the same is because they are either to lazy to do anything beyond whine on the internet about how unfair life is or because they don't exist.

"Primaries don't count because no one votes in them". That right there is your fucking problem. Go out and vote, you lazy f*cks. You don't get to complain when you can't even cross the lowest bar of actually voting at the time where you vote has the most impact on the direction of the party.

Not even a little tiny bit, no. You don't know what "progressive" even means.

I expect this sort of reaction from Endus bc he is an ideologue and nothing short of marxism leninism can satisfy him.
See, this is because you don't listen; you make up stories in your head about who you want people to be and you can't tell the fiction from the reality, and you're entirely uninterested in making the effort.

I'm in no respect a "Marxist". If you think socialism boils down to Marxist thought, you don't know what socialism even is as a concept. Marx certainly didn't invent the idea, and there's a good century of socialist thinking past Lenin that you're utterly unaware of. Somehow, despite me repeatedly for a decade here stating that I support a socially liberal market socialist framework. Which isn't what Marx was proposing, nor Lenin, as should be clear to anyone who's actually read their works.

But you don't care about that, you want to present the fiction in your head and expect everyone to accept it as truth. It's a delusion.
Joe Biden literally joined unions in the picket line and allowed the port union strike to go uninterrupted something that not even places like Canada have allowed where they have come down hard on their transportation workers striking.

Supporting unions is center to-center-left stuff. It's not "progressive". You continue to not understand the terminology, and frame anything with a hint of left-wing views as "progressive".

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressivism

Progressivism is about reformation, first and foremost. If you're not advocating for deep structural changes in society, you're not "progressive". Unions have been around for centuries. A truly progressive point of view would be looking at making unionization unnecessary, by dismantling the power imbalance between employer and employee that necessitate collective bargaining and pressure through unions to offset.

This is not "purity testing", it's you using terms incorrectly to frame centrists as if they're strongly left-wing. When they are not.
