    This is the issue

Trump gets a decent economy from Obama. Fucks it up during COVID and then Biden needs to deal with recovery and associated inflation. Voters are too stupid/impatient and vote the catarophe back to ruin all the recovery

2028 is going to be the same shit and you are hoping voters are less dumb this time. Unlikely but I would gladly be wrong

It will require a catastrophe that ruins the jobs, homes, families or lives of millions upon millions of people. Yes, worse than COVID. We tried COVID, it wasn't enough.

That kinda appears to be the back and forth between Republics and Democrats. Republicans fuck over the people, Democrats try to fix it but can't do it fast enough, Republicans get voted back in to fuck it up more.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

And then Dems will get throttled by the next Republican who offers everyone free candy because the Centrist that's inevitably put into place to 'return to the status quo' does the bare minimum of governance and doesn't hold anyone who ruined our country accountable lol. It's just politically kicking the can down the road until the country contracts.

My one and only hope right now is that there are too many competing end games and that they will bog them down enough to give us a breather before we hit their true end game but I'm not holding my breath.

We are seeing the seeds of a shift in the rank and file Democratic outlook. I think Democrats at large may finally be tired of being gaslit by the establishment. People are starting to look back and realize that it was embarrassing that Biden barely won while the last guy was in the middle of screwing up a pandemic and killing hundreds of thousands of Americans.

They'll remain unified up until the point they have total control, -then- they'll turn on eachother. Each faction thinks the other is a useful idiot who's not keen on their 'grand plan' and assumes they'll be the one who wins.

The attitude of a lot of the party leaders points to them continuing to try and double down on being the 'Polite Middle' party, and they control all the money and influence. The Reps got their Tea Party because they were being financed by Koch; Dem grassroots won't have that kind of outreach without the consent of the party itself. Jeffries, Pelosi, and Schumer may very well just burn the party down before allowing uppity lefties to ruin their cushy corporate kickbacks.

I could be wrong, I'm just feeling very cynical right now.

You hilarious neo libs keep trying to act like this is a thing and make it a thing but it's really not a thing. If Obama was running on his 2008 campaign do you think he loses because Trump runs an anti trans ad against him? ROFL
If you have two candidates and candidate A is campaigning on "we need to get trans people out from sports and our military and we need to end all forms of DEI programs', and candidate B doesn't directly campaign on a pro-trans platform, and you then go an vote for candidate A because candidate B "didn't offer anything for trans people"...

...then you are special kind of retard that deserves to get shafted by every policy that candidate A pushes through while in office.

Obama only won reelection because the Republicans ran the monopoly man for president right after a financial crisis.

Harris had a platform, and that platform when it came to trans issues was that it isn't the Federal government's business, because it isn't. What is she supposed to campaign on? Sending trans people money for being trans? There's nothing to campaign on. It's not up to the federal government if the seventeen trans 10th graders in the country can play on a certain athletic team.

Going to have to side with this. Trump, in public, on purpose, was very clear that he wanted trans Americans to have fewer options and to be discriminated against. Highly expected, from the party of "Michelle Obama has decent arms therefore she is a male gorilla". It surprised nobody when his actions in the WH matched exactly his attitude and statements. Any candidate silent on the issue was still objectively better.

I think a reason for this decline is a big chunk of money has been transferred from the (extremely overvalued) US markets to the (crabbing) EU industrial markets now that they announced a fiscal bazooka for defense spending.

The US markets will inevitably get rekt, especially the megacaps as soon as the music stops, taking everyone along for the ride. This year might be it.

Remember that when the DNC asks why it loses elections that should be easy wins. When someone tries to do a little more but be the equivalent of unbuttered wheat toast they get outcasted by the party. Green shouldn't have been the only one kicked out. Republicans had no issues heckling and showing their disapproval towards Biden. There has to be a portion of the Democratic Party that wants Trump in office and are being spoilers from within. Thats the only way the overall posture of the party makes sense.
Yup, the following fuckers NEED to be primaried in 2026:

    - Ami Bera, California
    - Ed Case, Hawaii
    - Jim Costa, California
    - Laura Gillen, New York
    - James A. Himes, Connecticut
    - Chrissy Houlahan, Pennsylvania
    - Marcy Kaptur, Ohio
    - Jared Moskowitz, Florida
    - Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, Washington
    - Thomas R. Suozzi, New York
The distance between what is said and what is known to be true has become an abyss. Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous. The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil. When truth leaves us, when we let it slip away, when it is ripped form our hands, we become vulnerable to the appetite of whatever monster screams the loudest.

Point in case: the USD/EUR pair lost like 5% in less than 5 days.

There is a limit to how much EU stock market can absorb US losses. The US market cap is around 62T and EU is 1T (?). I saw EU defense stocks went up in anticipation of EU's increased defense spending, and already some of the stocks look like they are overbought.

Correction, EU market cap is 5T.

Evil only wins when it spreads. It can cause destruction, it can cause death—but those are consequences of its nature, not its victory. Not its goal. The danger of evil, the purpose of evil, is that it causes those who would oppose it to become evil also.
