He still remains more popular than Democrats.

And remember that every single poll that ever existed has underestimated his support.
Well, according to RFK Jr., the bird flu is most definitely not winding down because he doesn't want to use a vaccine to do help, well, wind it down. Because it may cause the virus to mutate or something. However, if you don't vaccinate, the virus will most definitely mutate into something far worse as it will spread uncontrollably. Which brings us to the reason why we are having the issue with the price of eggs in the first place.

The culling of hens due to the bird flu. So either we basically do a mass extinction of all avian wildlife(seeing as the bird flu isn't just specific to chickens and other fowl) and possibly other animals seeing as it is spreading outside of the avian species or we do everything possible to combat it. Meaning vaccines for birds, culling them if needed and segregating whole flocks to prevent the spread as best as we can.

Republican representatives, sure. Actual republican voters that are affected by what is going on? Most are highly against how everything is being done.

Remember, in a war between Ukraine and Russia, Trump is the first one to surrender.

Let that sink in and be forever his motto. "To be like Trump is to surrender at the first chance you get."

On the subject of a shutdown, Musk thinks that it will be easier to fire people during it but not really. They are required to do no work because it is mandated during a shutdown. The only ones that are required to continue to show up are things that are tied to national security like the military and the like. Otherwise, it is still as hard to fire people during it as it is while it is open.

He would probably try to do a rif after 30 days elapses if it even got to that point. X to doubt on that, even if he tried to go that route. So many more people would be against him at that point that he'd be better off trying to gtfo.

So, outside of immigration, Trump has an official disapproval rate of over 50%. 54% disapprove of how he is doing, 56% on the economy and this is only less than 2 months in.

It usually takes a couple of years for Presidents can easily hit those numbers. Trump did it in less than 2 months.

Oh, here is a video, while it has a liberal bias, shows the exact same thing among other things.

    Remember, Trump's own words.

    "Shut up about egg prices."

I don’t think voters in general will be very pleased with Trump. No headline currently is painting this stock market tanking as anything but Trump’s fault.

The only people hoping against hope that somehow this directionless clown show turns positive is people like @Somewhatconcerned desperately citing headlines alternating between ignoring the stock market plummeting and ignoring price hikes.

Oil prices were dropping. Primarily due to economic uncertainty. Not a good reason for the prices to drop. However, they started going up a couple of days ago. I could explain why, but it would be a waste of time.

Let's not act like that was a bad thing, and shame on both Obama and Trump for not having the courage to get the fuck out of there while Biden finally did.

It's all sort of routine fluctuation, but the overall trend has definitely been upward for months, yes.

Well, Musk, much like Trump, caves to peer pressure when confronted with something everyone hates.

DOGE is now not going to cancel phone service for SSA outright. However, they are doing something that I can agree with and that is require people if they want to change their direct deposit information that they have to do it in person or online. The online part I am not too fond of because you can still be scammed that way very easily. But requiring doing it in person pretty much stops most types of fraud that seniors tend to fall for.

If they weren't closing nearly 50 physical offices.

It would be a good solution to have it be in person only, not even online if they could keep SSA offices open all over the country and open even more but since they want to close a lot it's going to suck for the people without an office close by.

This doesn't seem like it's about helping against seniors getting scammed or they would ditch the online also. Scammers will just move to targeting that instead of the phone lines.

Oh, I agree that with the other stuff they are doing, it is only going to cause seniors and handicapped people to get less help with the fact they also want to close down far too much.

Can you imagine the frothing rage from republicans, if Obama had invited the Taliban to the white house, to discuss americas surrender?

I mean, the other scandals having been covfefe cup salute and tan suit.
