Trump’s Economic Messaging Is Spooking Some of His Own Advisers

    From the WSJ.

Senior officials, including White House chief of staff Susie Wiles, have received panicked calls from chief executives and lobbyists, who have urged the administration to calm jittery markets by outlining a more predictable tariff agenda, according to people familiar with the discussions.

It has been a horrific start for the economic policy team. Trump’s aggressive approach to tariffs has unnerved some Trump administration economic officials, including staff on the National Economic Council, who are concerned that tariffs and uncertainty over trade policy are tanking the stock market and fueling price increases on everything from energy to construction materials.

He still remains more popular than Democrats.

And remember that every single poll that ever existed has underestimated his support.
Still no comments on the whole Nazi and rapist thing?

How much money in stocks did you lose as a result of the rapist you support crashing the markets?

Gas prices tend to drop during recessions.

    200% tariffs on EU alcohol.

Doctor Evil ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS.jpg

Premarket reaction so far is "meh". Which will likely be followed by more tariffs.

Remember, the markets NEED to dump.

Edit: it's not in effect yet.

Why stop at 200%. Let's go nuts and jump to 500% since Trump seems to equate tariffs with free money. I would love to know why he has such a hardon for tariffs. Maybe because it's the one "BULLY" thing he can do without any other vote or approvals. God forbid he has to go through Congress to enact trade policies.

    I broke it down.
Stock market go down. Dollar go up. Oh wait, tariffs, dollar no go up, dollar go down. Long term bond go up. Yield go down.

Debt re-servicing go down. Deflation go up.

In the meantime the markets are nuked, so we will have to wait and see. I think it's a retarded method to deflate the economy, but here we are.

EU should respond with 5000% tariffs on garbage made in red states. Enough monkeying around with Drumpf.

I think it's just his inability to ever admit something he did or thought was wrong. In the past he floated tariffs but was told it would be bad/stupid so like the toddler he is he's stamping his feet and demanding we do more tariffs because he always right.

I find it ironic that the one douchebag who screeched about NAFTA being an unfair deal has the testicular fortitude to screech about the USMCA being an unfair deal. Seriously, Trump needs to go fuck himself with the largest object he can find, ideally Putin's head.

If dumb Donald thinks he's going to collapse the North American auto market just so he can fondle Elon's balls while Tesla stock and demand craters due to being utter dog shit products, good fuckin luck mate.

Truth is stranger than fiction. We actually had someone coming in bragging about how egg prices were dropping...after someone else had posted the reason was lack of demand. In other words, prices dropped because they were so high nobody bought any.

And I also quoted the Trump USDA person who said "the USDA's numbers say prices are down, no I'm not showing you any". At the time, I flat-out accused her of making shit up, considering the inklings of a plan were announced a week prior. It should have occurred to me that the core of Trump's policy is "let America suffer, then claim victory while doing nothing".
