Not to mention celebrity “appeal” going in and being an “outsider.”

Hard for the GOP to manufacture. You can’t really point to another politician in America’s history like Trump.

    Yep.

Nintendo isn't known for dropping prices on their own first party games but the consoles receive constant discounts if they start to do poorly.

True, but Reagan was vastly more popular than Trump. At the same time, however, he didn’t have the cult following and while his policies did damage and he ducked political scandal his successor Bush sr. was a one-term nothing of a president before Clinton took over.

I feel like Liberation Day should actually be celebrated by pushing Teslas into Boston harbor (or any body of water). You know, as a protest against new taxes with zero representation by our actual elected congressmen.

Depends on if they suddenly find out their pension is totally gone because of the stock market.
The distance between what is said and what is known to be true has become an abyss. Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous. The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil. When truth leaves us, when we let it slip away, when it is ripped form our hands, we become vulnerable to the appetite of whatever monster screams the loudest.

So, how are the markets doing? Well, if the Asian markets are any indication, at least a 2% loss for tomorrow is in store for the rest of the world.

Also, RFK Jr. basically says "Whoops, we fired the wrong people.". However, also according to him, it is "was always the plan."

Trump reveals the gold card he's been talking about.

Trump proudly showed off the design of his administration’s new $5 million “gold card” to reporters aboard Air Force One on Thursday.

“For $5 million, this could be yours,” Trump told reporters. “That was the first of the cards. You know what that card is?”

“It’s the gold card — the Trump card.”

Yep, that's his face on it.

Hey @tehdang isn't so important that it be called the Trump card? And have Trump's name on it? And Trump's face on it? Not the American flag or anything, no, this has to be Trump's name and face? Oh, and the price tag? The five million? That has to be there, too?

Is this the America First you envisioned? Because this looks like Trump First. And the money. Not America. Trump and the money.

This is what you voted for.

The problem with the vote in the Senate isn't the Senate part, it is the House part that more or less won't be brought up because Johnson won't bring it up and nobody on the GOP side won't challenge him on it. He is still upset and going to refuse to do any actual legislative business because one mother wanted to vote by proxy while recovering from her pregnancy.

For $5 million, that card better be made out of actual gold. It literally looks like it is gold colored and just cardboard. Much like Trump.

Even if it was brought up, Trump would likely veto it. If that somehow failed, he would probably file a lawsuit and tie it up in the courts. Its symbolic at best.

One, it's laminated. You can tell in the second picture. So your instincts are likely correct.

Two, let's not forget the $5 million is a bribe "don't deport me, even though I am brown". Making it out gold means Trump doesn't get the money.

Trump forced to abort helicopter after serious failure

Trump was forced to abandon his helicopter on his way to his Florida golf club on Thursday.

The president had arrived at Miami International Airport from Air Force One just before 5pm, stopping briefly to give press a raised fist.

He promptly boarded a helicopter - which is referred to as Marine One when the president rides in it - for his short hop to the Doral golf club.

But the jet never took off and stopped further down the runway after officials noticed what a flat tire.

Trump was then seen in his bright red MAGA hat and a suit walking across the tarmac from one helicopter to another, which took off at 5.19pm
"Is this yet another shot at the FAA being Trump's failure?"

Actually not this time, no. I'm pointing out that it's Thursday and he's already golfing. Took 5% off every stock market in the world, 24 hours later, golfing.

So, Trump is basically undercutting Johnson on the whole being able to vote by proxy for new mothers issue he has. Trump is in support of it. I wonder if Johnson will do what most GOP do and basically turn on his own ideals OR actually rebuke Trump.

And now, the SCOTUS-defended official word of the White House.

@tehdang look! It's Almost Friday! It's almost Friday, @tehdang ! Isn't this such an important message as prices grew across the board today? Isn't it so important that the White House use its official podium to declare that it's Almost Friday?

Isn't this what you voted for, @tehdang ? It's Almost Friday! You voted for this, on purpose!

How much has Trump's policies cost you on the American stock exchanges over the past couple months? I guess we'll take any non-answer as proof that you're secretly a Putin shill, and lied about being an American.

Trump went on a rambling speech about the word "groceries" while repeatedly lying.

During his April 2 "Liberation Day" speech in the White House Rose Garden, Trump announced sweeping new tariffs on goods around the globe, including those from longstanding U.S. allies.

As he wrapped up his discussion of the numbers, Trump zeroed in on the word "groceries" and provided his own definition.

“It’s such an old-fashioned term but a beautiful term: groceries," he mused. "It sort of says a bag with different things in it."

Trump then claimed that he has alleviated the price of groceries, saying, "Groceries went through the roof and I campaigned on that. I talked about the word ‘groceries’ for a lot, and energy costs now are down. Groceries are down.”
"How much has the price of groceries gone down?"

    They haven't. Trump lied.

At present, there is no evidence supporting his statement that grocery prices are improving. The USDA's Food Price Outlook, updated on March 25, reports that grocery costs are expected to rise slightly faster than the average rate of growth this year.

New tariffs on international goods are only expected to exacerbate inflation by passing the burden of the new taxes onto American consumers.
    "Are energy prices down?"

Actually, funny story, AAA reports that gas prices went up quite a lot last week. Oil prices did drop a few percent, but that's because both the US and OPEC announced they were expanding. Gas prices going up as oil prices going down means what you think it does. As for "energy prices" they are still quite high, as natural gas in particular is up 5% in costs.

"Well, it was a harsh winter."

No, it wasn't. Winter temperatures, like all temperatures, continue to be at or near records. That's not why energy costs are up. More importantly, they're not down. Trump lied.

    Speaking of Trump lying:

Trump also took credit for a recent decrease in the cost of eggs, which soared in price after he took office.

CNN reports that while eggs prices have begun to calm since the bird flu caused a sharp increase in January, the decrease can be partially attributed to the fact that some Americans have grown tired of high costs and simply stopped purchasing eggs. Despite the recent price dip, the cost of eggs still remains historically high.
Trump cultists are likely going to use eggs as a talking point, ignoring the fact that Trump single-handedly increased the price of just about everything, then went golfing.
