No, it wouldn't...but he won NC in 2020 as well...50-48. And in 2016...50-46. Also Romney in 2012...50-48. It never would take much to push NC the other way...but the dems haven't managed to do it since 2008...when Obama just barely squeezed it out 49.7-49.38

If nothing else, it's promising that NC has a dem gov and has stayed steady with it's voting. You have states Obama won like Florida, Ohio and Indiana that have just got redder and dumber. At least NC isn't getting dumber, even though it's still dumb.

There isn't one. He's said routinely it's illegal immigrants, but (a) that's not an invasion and (b) he's also bragged about how crossings have dropped, so, even if there was an invasion before, he's already claiming there isn't one now.

This is just putting on a show. Mobilizing the US miltary to sit around and do nothing will not save US taxpayers anything.

It's nowhere in what the government filed after the Supreme Court ruled and remanded. The government argues that the district judge is not complying with the SCOTUS decision, which necessarily is different from earlier times where there was no decision to reference.

It should go without saying that when SCOTUS says "due regard for the deferenced owed to the Executive Branch in the conduct of foreign affairs" does not mean "fuck them, brief me on all your steps by 9:30 scratch that 11:30 am." You're just missing or ignoring when judges beclown themselves.

And in a follow-up, judge is starting to listen to reason by moving for next week. That's going in the right direction for compliance with SCOTUS.

I really hope the rumors are wrong on this one. I keep thinking "well this is just too crazy to ever really happen" only for it to happen anyways with Trump. And it doesn't help we all know full well Trump has wanted to declare martial law several times during his last term, but there were safeguards in place that prevented it. Now there's nothing standing in the way but some pesky courts he already doesn't respect and they have no power to stop him anyways.

There would not be a similar bipartisan reaction against him if it were to happen here. Republicans would cheer. Democrats would wag their fingers. And Trump would get his way. Especially since his regime is currently in the process of "lol no"-ing a 9-0 SCOTUS ruling against an action they've taken.

The population of Greenland is about 60,000 humans. $10,000 per would therefore be $600 million, not that much in the federal budget scale. It, of course, matches the amount Denmark is currently giving in subsidies. The differences include, of course, that Greenland would be required to praise and admire Trump (they don't want to) and that Trump would seize all their natural assets (they don't want that either).

Incidentally, $10,000 per American would be $3 trillion. The EU could save up their entire budget for 3 years and just buy the USA.
