Evaluating sources is part of that basic secondary education you're expected to develop before graduating high school. It's introduced in the curriculum here as early as Grade 9, though obviously developed more and more over subsequent years.

You are, again, railing that high-school-level standards are unreasonably high for a population with a high school graduation rate well north of 80%. Especially considering much of that remaining percentage might well learn this lesson before dropping out, or from life experience outside of high school.

Yeah, maybe the underfunded US education system is really that bad.

And then Trump patted him on his head and said, don't worry young child, you will be okay, now eat some McDonalds Cheeseburgers and Diet Coke.

People need to get over the belief that Trump voters are just naive people who had no idea what they were voting for.

They knew exactly what they were voting for. The only thing they didn’t know was that Trump’s shitty policies was going to hit them as well.

Democrats want to exploit humans as much as possible over the longest period of time, with the smallest social and economic cost by them. They only nominally care about preventing the loss of life, if only because dead livestock result in less long term profit.

They were naïve in the fact that they didn't understand the impact of the things he said he was going to do, and how it would affect them. So in a sense, yes, they really did have no idea what they were voting for.

People didn't turn out because they were tired of Dark Brandon memeing on how good the economy was while Mainstreet was suffering. In 2020, they punished Trump for the same behaviors. Kamala just happened to be the one who got punished in 2024 for Biden's failures on bringing down inflation.

When 2026 and 2028 come around, Republicans are going to get punished again for making things worse.

No single demographic has enough votes who gives a fuck about Palestine, Mexicans, Illegals, Hillary, Fauci, the Jab, the Trans, DEI, and whatever other retarded dumb fucking shit they whine about to change the fact that it's obvious that the voters who swing the election are the voters who decide to turn out or sit home because of the economy.

And that's PRECISELY why Trump and Republicans are in for hurt in the next two election cycles.

And if you want to reply to me and say, but what about free and fair elections? Shove your keyboard up your ass because I don't give a fuck about tin foil hat conspiracy theories.

I think the hardest thing is many of us know these people and have known them to be good people who volunteer and help their community. But as they stay in lockstep more and more we feel like we have to consider them bad people who were just kept in check by a magical sky being but now they have someone much closer on earth who they have deified who is straight up evil.

Writing a term paper and reading the news are not the same process. If someone went through full source validation for everything they believe day to day, they would not have time to process the events of any day. Nobody believes that you are validating everything you believe to that degree, so stop insulting our intelligence and acting like every day you spend eight hours deep diving on the validity of every piece of information. Do you seriously expect people to believe that every single article you see you double check who the author is, what their credentials are, the types of sources they are using, etc.. Get real.

He is straight up saying that El Salvador needs to build 7 more mega prisons/death camps for "home grown ones". There are currently 1.8 million people in the US in prisons. Who exactly do you think is going to fill these camps? At least at the start it sure as hell isn't going to be magats

Because there is zero fucking evidence and his family literally fled to avoid being killed by gangs. When people talk about cross referencing they usually mean multiple povs oan breitbart fox your local magat x commentator are all the same pov to various extremes. It's more like comparing the guardian and the telegraph both British but radically different povs.

And yet I can still understand that "no judges, no court cases" means no due process.

Let's take it back to how we started with this particular subject

"The people voted for this." "Trump told them exactly what he wanted to do." Bullshit.
Not bullshit. Everything about the issues below is consistent with his positions, actions, and statements.

He didn't tell the people he's going to ruin small businesses and start a trade war with the rest of the world.
He didn't say those exact words. But he did campaign on the positions that are achieving these results.

He didn't tell people his government is going to send people without due process to a prison in El Salvador.
He did. We've already got the tweet about him wanting to skip due process regarding immigrants. But you can also look at how immigrants were treated during his first term as presidency and see similar things.

Anyone who voted for Trump voted for these things. And I hold them accountable for that. Your defense for this is "Well, they didn't know what they were voting for". And maybe they didn't. But they should have. It's all out there. People have a responsibility to educate themselves about who they are voting for.

Maybe they didn't understand the 34 felonies that Trump was convicted on... but they knew he was convicted on 34 felonies. Maybe they don't understand how he was found liable for sexual assault...but they knew he was. Maybe they didn't understand why he was impeached twice in his first term. But they knew it happened. He called the people that assaulted the capitol "patriots" and refers to Jan. 6 as "a day of love". Were these voters also unaware about what happened on Jan.6, 2021? Were they unaware that some of Trump's charges are related to his attempt to overthrow the fucking government?

All of these things and they still decided that Trump was a better choice for President than Kamala Harris. So, I'm just going to circle back to exactly where I started:

    "Fuck them".

It doesn't take eight hours. It takes a couple minutes, at best,

I can prove it: How do you know that the wrongfully deported man was not a gang member?
Asking me to prove a negative is just more bad faith. Burden of proof lies with those who want to claim he is. Like with basically everything. Where's the evidence he is, then? Since you'd have to present a convincing case first, before it can be refuted.

Yet more games, what a surprise.

How do you know he is law abiding? Let me guess: The burden of proof is on the person making the negative claim that he isn't?

In this particular area, there are already reasons that courts have held people can be deported without any judicial process, such as expedited removal for people found to have just crossed the border.

Because the government lawyers have admitted in court that they have no evidence of a crime or that he is in a gang nor have they provided any.
