I disagree with people who think that as long as they oppose Trump it is ok to:

1. Make shit up.
2. Not know the facts.
3. Treat ignorant normies with contempt.

Texas measles outbreak is not slowing down.

The Texas Department of State Health Services is reporting an outbreak of measles primarily in West Texas.

At this time, 561 cases have been confirmed since late January. This is an increase of 20 since the April 11 update.

Four percent, or fewer than 25 of the confirmed cases, are estimated to be actively infectious since their rash onset date was more than a week ago.
Individuals are infectious four days prior to and four days after rash onset.

Fifty-eight of the patients have been hospitalized. This number is the total number of people hospitalized over the course of the outbreak. It is not the current number of people in the hospital.

There have been two fatalities in school-aged children who lived in the outbreak area. The children were not vaccinated and had no known underlying conditions.

Due to the highly contagious nature of this disease, additional cases are likely to occur in the outbreak area and the surrounding communities.

Meanwhile, the CDC is acting as if nothing is wrong. How long does this have to go on before they take it seriously.

I dont mind that people get stupid views from social media, what I do mind is the fall of mainstream media. Like I hate Fox News with a burning passion but if you compare it to newsmax or OAN, its night and day. Fox News tries to be cheeky or play off stuff as a joke, OANN just repeats the propaganda like if it was north korea.

Mainstream media did a decent job in filtering the information and giving people what they best understood as the truth based on their own biases. And if they got stuff wrong, they would issue corrections and/or get sued, most of the time both. Remember when Fox News had to pay one of the largest settlements for defamation ever? Measles can also fuck with your immune system and ruin its 'memory', so to speak. So it can essentially negate vaccines for -other- dangerous diseases, it's kinda fucked up.
