If they cross at a border crossing, then they aren't "illegal". They have a visa.

If they're not at a border crossing, then they aren't experiencing due process. Do you just not know what words mean?

It's not any US citizen, its any person. Due process is to find out if someone is legal. You don't have to be an US citizen to reside legally in the US.

If you're super duper deeply concerned about undocumented immigrants in the USA, would your issues be resolved if the US government passed a widespread amnesty bill granting all undocumented residents legal status, with a fast path to citizenship if they're working or in a family supported by working members?

ICE aren't following due process. They aren't following the law. They are ignoring the courts. Trying to deal with these people by going through a legal process is utterly pointless. Either it will take too long, or it will be quick enough and it will be one more thing for ICE to ignore.
