Missed this post, sorry about that. So, you mentioned 1992 specifically, which had over 1,000 measles cases. So has this year. As shown here, the only year between now and then with over 1,000 cases was 2019. There was a sharp drop in 2020 for, well, obvious reasons.

If we take the 1,288 cases and scale that up to Dec 31, it'll be about 2,500 and we start talking about the H W years. Cases were in the low thousands until Bush Sr. took the helm, there was a significant upswing from 1989 to 1992, hiting 20,000+ for example. It got so bad Bush threatened to withhold social programs if you didn't vaccinate your kids. In other words, there was a serious problem, and even a Republican took measures. By contrast, Trump is also seeing a tenfold increase and his reaction is literally nothing.

The official X account for beloved Sesame Street Muppet Elmo was hacked on Sunday, and a series of graphic and racist posts were put on the public timeline before being deleted after control was apparently restored.

A profane series of posts on X were sent on the public timeline for the red Sesame Street monster on Sunday evening before they were eventually deleted, and the account also appears to have been replying to users before it was restored.

The uncensored messages below were only live for less than half an hour, but it was plenty of time for screenshots and reactions to spread like wildfire across the platform.

Among the horrific messages sent were vile, anti-Semitic and anti-Israel hate messages, and demands that President Donald Trump, whom the hacked Elmo referred to as a “child fucker” and the “puppet” of Israeli Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu.

This would be a civil suit, not a criminal one. And it’d also likely be suing the White House, not necessarily Trump directly.

I don't think they will this time. You need to remember, a lot of the right-wing sphere is here because of conspiracy theories, it's what they want. They don't give a fuck about egg prices. They don't give a fuck about Russia, Ukraine, Israel, or Gaza unless it involves some juicy detail of information that implicates someone in a conspiracy.

What they care about are the names of pedos on the Epstein list. What they care about is who killed JFK. What they care about is the country of origin of Obama's Birth certificate and whether or not Michelle has a third leg.

They elected Trump because they wanted answers, not more coverups.

So while some right-wingers will move on, there is going to be a big chunk of MAGA who won't move past this.
