Once again, a woman and/or person of color is called a "low IQ individual."

Someone should really tell him why doctors give those tests in the first place. And how much of a joke it makes him look to keep touting it as some big achievement.

I would presume it is a standardized exam. Some one should get ahold of it, and make it go viral so everyone across the nation can take it. Then Trump can see how easy such exams are.

    I think someone (Maybe Seth Meyers, John Oliver, or here?) said it was this one;

On its surface, the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) test seems pretty easy. Can you draw a three-dimensional cube? Can you identify these various animals? Can you draw a clock? Can you repeat back the phrase, “The cat always hid under the couch when dogs were in the room”?

The test assigns a certain number of points to each of these tests and an overall score it tallies out of 30 possible points. President Donald Trump’s doctor — Dr. Ronny Jackson, the White House physician who also cared for Barack Obama — reported that Trump had scored perfectly, 30 points out of 30; Jackson said Trump had asked for the exam to include some sort of test of mental function.

If you look at the test, it’s pretty hard to see how you could not score a 30. You see a picture of a lion and have to identify it as a lion? That old joke about how the elderly and toddlers are subject to the same indignities seems pertinent here: Is this really the bar that needs to be met to demonstrate full mental capabilities?

According to those who study dementia and other mental deterioration, yes.
    ....More.

I would fail drawing a cube and the taping of the hand due to nerve damage in my dominant hand

Small US Firms Paying Trump Tariffs Face $202 Billion Annual Hit

Big firms often have in-house resources to handle such administrative changes and costs, but compliance and forecasting in the new tariff regime are “where the smaller companies are really struggling,” said Erin Williamson, vice president of US customs brokerage at Levallois-Perret, France-based Geodis, a leading global logistics firm.

“They may not have that internal compliance group or the infrastructure to really sit back and say, ‘OK, this is going to be the impact to us. How do we pivot?’” Williamson said in an interview Friday.

The US Chamber of Commerce estimated this month that the country has about 236,000 small-business importers — those with fewer than 500 employees. The goods they bought from abroad were worth more than $868 billion in 2023.

Based on an estimate before Trump’s duties took effect Aug. 7, the combined annual tariff hit to those companies is $202 billion, according to the chamber, the nation’s largest business lobbying group. That works out to about $856,000 per firm a year.
Bloomberg then moves on to quote the same Goldman Sachs info I cited earlier.

That's right, Trump put a $200 billion tax on small businesses, in public, on purpose.

Bragging that your doctors keep giving you basic cognitive tests to rule out dementia and the like is certainly . . . a take.

Breaking news. Trump said he's embarrassed by the graffiti in Washington since he has to meet putin in russia this week so he's calling in the national guard.
What a waste of his father's semen.

10 dollars on he doesn't know what country Alaska belongs to.
Wow, quite the insane press conference trump is currently giving. The late shows are going to have alot to work with this week.

has the administration said what the national guard will do, yet?

are they going to stand around like the marines deployed in LA?

are they going to be washing graffiti off walls?

tell us how this won't be a gigantic waste of time and taxpayer money, please.

(it will be just like LA was)

Supreme Court formally asked to overturn landmark same-sex marriage ruling

Anyone surprised? It was obviously next in line after abortion.

i eagerly look forward to weeks of very serious articles in the NYT and elsewhere about donald trumps mental state and his apparent senility like they did every time joe biden made a minor gaffe.

unless donald is looking to sell alaska back to russia to give them a(nother) foothold in north america. hope lisa murkowski is learning some russian from that little green bird!

Trump deploys US military on US citizens. Specifically, mobilizing the National Guard to Washington DC to round up what he says are gangs but are really just homeless and/or brown people.

This is the third time. Trump is normalizing using the US military on US soil against US citizens.

This is dictator behavior. Trump has announced he is a military dictator. All Trump supporters are now willing participants in a military dictatorship, even if they admit they made a mistake.

He says it another time, too. Its either Trump not knowing what he's actually doing, or he's giving the plan away.

But there is a "dire public safety crisis"! Clearly this needs to happen. For reasons.

I wonder who actually had this idea, honestly. Trump doesn't seem entirely checked-in on this term, so I have to assume this is the brainchild of Miller, or someone similar. Trump just goes along with what he's told, as per.

Irrelevant. This isn't about putting up sandbags for a hurricane. This is about rounding up American citizens at US military gunpoint. He's going full military dictator to distract from being a child rapist.

Its kinda wild just how much has been thrown out into the ether in the desperate attempt for something that sticks in relation to directing people away from Epstein. Almost impressive. But the fact they have to go this far... well, that should say a few things.

    Bigots gotta bigot.

There isn't a single secular reason to deny marriage equality. The only argument against it is to try and redefine "marriage" religiously, and it is not and has essentially never been a religious ceremony first and foremost.

Which is why you can get married at a courthouse by filling out the right forms, but you can't get married by your crazy-ass cult leader who has no credentials, just by his say-so. The latter may as well be giving your first childhood girlfriend a ringpop and promising to be together "forever and ever and ever". Same value and meaning.

Unless you fill out the government form, which is literally all that matters. No legal document, no marriage, you just had a fancy dress party and need to fuck off about it.

All these christofascists need to be reminded that their fringe extremist nonsense does not matter. With a sledgehammer, if they won't listen to words.

Also, marriage is vastly older than all their religions.
