The trick is to shout it when something happens, people see "amag X did this horrible thing"
And then they never see the follow up that it was actually yet another right-wing loner because the media cycle has moved on.

absolutely pathetic and hilariousValerii Zaluzhnyi, ambassador to the U.K. and Ukraine's former commander-in-chief, declined a phone call from U.S. Vice President JD Vance following his infamous February Oval Office showdown with President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Guardian reported on Aug. 25, citing unnamed sources.
According to the Guardian's sources, Vance’s team tried "tried various diplomatic and other channels," to contact the ambassador in an attempt to sound out possible replacements for Zelensky.
Zaluzhnyi is popular with both the military and the broader population due to his role in leading the resistance against Russia. However, he never officially stated his intention to run for office, despite hinting his interest.
Vance reportedly tried to call Zaluzhnyi in early March, just three days after the heated exchange on Feb. 28, but Zaluzhnyi declined to take the call after consulting with the Presidential Office head Andriy Yermak, according to the newspaper.
A source close to Zaluzhnyi told the Guardian that his refusal was a "principled position" and a sign of unity, reflecting Ukraine’s feeling of having been "humiliated."
nobody likes jd vance and this administration is absolutely inept and incompetent at trying to make friends with people who aren't moral-less authoritarians
really though, it's incredibly how much jd vance sucks at actually being a politician and how deeply unlikeable he is as a person

The things the commander-in-chief busies himself with really are just the petty revenges of an old man, aren't they?
I know everyone is numb to it, and its just classed as normal, but this is not what the President of the United States of fucking America should be doing.
That it was an assault rifle? Sorry, "high-powered large-magazine long-barrel weapon originally designed for war"?
(checks literally any news source)
Yep, assault rifle. Let's keep the focus where it belongs, that it's so much easier to injure or kill over a dozen children in a church when you have a weapon originally designed to kill human beings.

This is censorship. This is dictator censorship. People like @tehdang want dictator censorship and will be quoted as saying such.

Fuckin' every shooter has been trans until it's been proven that they weren't, for a few years now. We're deep in the trans panic, as bigoted shitlords race to trip each other to be first to make up a fake story to blame the transes.
It's just a new Satanic Panic, but more bigoted and stupid.
The distance between what is said and what is known to be true has become an abyss. Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous. The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil. When truth leaves us, when we let it slip away, when it is ripped form our hands, we become vulnerable to the appetite of whatever monster screams the loudest.
The Washington Examiner reports that Trump is still in the Epstein files.
- - - Updated - - -Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) said he believes President Donald Trump is mentioned in the Epstein files and wants the case files of the convicted sex offender made public.
The Georgia Senate candidate was pressed by an attendee at an Aug. 13 Muscogee County GOP meeting on whether Trump was in the files. Collins replied that he believed the president was “in there,” but only because Trump “was the one that was telling the FBI about it,” and had previously barred Jeffrey Epstein from Mar-a-Lago, according to an audio recording of the exchange posted to YouTube.
The episode highlights growing tensions within the GOP over transparency around Epstein-related documents, which Trump has resisted despite earlier promises. In July, the Department of Justice announced that it had found no “client list” of Epstein’s, contradicting a public statement by Attorney General Pam Bondi on Fox News in February that it was “on my desk.” Despite the backlash, Trump has stood by Bondi and urged his supporters to move on.

Good a time as any.
By the way, gas prices are up again, being more than they were a day ago, a week ago, and a month ago. And Jan 20th. They haven't risen much, true, but they have not gone down at all.
"Why are you bringing this up?"
I didn't. Trump did. In his Cabinet meeting...for the love of God don't watch it, it's sickening, it starts with a 2 hour list of every single one doing nothing but praising Trump in between his blatant objective lies...he said, amongst many other false, things, this:
"When were gas prices $7 a gallon?"Uh product costs are down. Energy is way down. Energy brings things down. You know, with energy, that's what happened with Biden. He stopped our program and then he went back to it when he realized that uh it looked like you're going to be paying uh numbers that nobody's ever seen like $7 a g you're going to pay $7 a a gallon. They were up to seven seven and a half dollar. So then he immediately went back to the Trump plan that they terminated but it uh it was too late for them. It was too late. They blew it. They had a great thing going. I gave them something great and they blew it.
Oh, they weren't. Trump lied. He said seven minutes earlier that gas was currently $2.25 and lied about that, too.
This is a direct eia-dot-gov link. Not only does it confirm that Trump lied about $2.25 and Trump lied about $7, but it also confirms that gas prices are, at the best, level. They have actually gone up.
"Is there any chance he was talking about some other energy sold by the gallon?"
No. Nothing else in energy is sold by the gallon which would have those prices. Oil is cheaper than gas. The number "seven" does appear in natural gas prices but that's per million BTU, not gallon. Coal is not measured by the gallon. Trump was talking about gasoline and he was lying.
"Maybe he was-"
In that same meeting, Trump claimed that wind power was 39 cents per kilowatt-hour and natural gas was three.
First of all, electric costs are rising, as Trump's own EIA admits.
Here's them admitting it again because I'm vindictive about objective numeric falsehoods being passed as facts. Incidentally that one predicts fewer heating needs over the winter in 2026, almost like the climate is changing.
And a third time because fuck you, that's why, the EIA has the price per kw-hr at 16.00 (2023) 16.48 (2024) 17.19 (2025) 17.90 (projected 2026). Even Trump says Trump is lying about energy costs.
Second of all, valid information was not hard to find. Wind is actually the cheapest of renewable energy sources as of July 30 2025. Solar is the most expensive. All are betwen 3 and 10 cents per kw-hr.
Most other sources give similar numbers. None gave anything over 20 cents.
Natural gas is 8 to 15 cents per kw-hr. Now I admit I had some difficulty tracking this number down, but Texas was happy to help.
Even Texas says Trump is lying. The Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) helps to compare the cost-effectiveness of different electricity generation sources. It calculates the total lifetime costs of an energy source divided by the energy output, providing a clear picture of the long-term cost per kilowatt-hour (kWh).
A significant perk of solar energy is avoiding continuous fuel costs after installation, reducing long-term expenses.
In comparison, the LCOE ranges for different energy sources are:
Natural gas plants: $0.138 to $0.262 per kWh (making them less cost-effective)
Onshore wind: $0.037 to $0.086 per kWh (also competitive) [EDITOR: note these are similar to the other cited source]
Solar: $0.038 and $0.078 per kWh (lowest cost and most economical choice)
There's a ton of deplorable statements in that 3-hour-plus "meeting" including Trump saying
but backing all his claims of "we need to do this" are nothing but objective falsehoods. Not that I don't have the right to do anything I want to do. I'm the president of the United States. If I think our country is in danger, and it is in danger in these cities, I can do it.
Trump has nothing but lies, because the truth and reality underlie all his claims.
Seems to be true if everything holds.

Minneapolis Catholic school shooter ID’d as trans woman Robin Westman— while possible manifesto shows psychotic obsession with mass shooters
The deranged gunman who slaughtered two children and injured at least 17 others who were attending morning Mass at a Catholic school in Minneapolis has been identified as a transgender woman — as a disturbing video believed to have been posted by the shooter shows “kill Donald Trump” and “for the children” scrawled on gun magazines.
Robin Westman, formerly Robert Westman, opened fire through the stained glass windows of Annunciation Catholic Church during a celebratory back-to-school Mass filled with children around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Sources confirmed that law enforcement is investigating a series of twisted videos that appear to be posted to YouTube by Westman, 23, in the hours before the massacre.
In one 20-minute video, a person believed to be Westman flips through a disturbing handwritten journal.
In the deranged writings, she gleefully fantasizes about “being that scary horrible monster standing over those powerless kids” and reverently confesses admiration for the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre.
In the video, titled “So long and thanks for all the fish,” Westman slowly turns the pages of the red notebook, which is laid out on top of what appears to be schematic gun diagrams, one of them reading “Ruger Mark IV.”
As she flips the pages, an occasional plume of smoke is seen from the bottom of the screen, punctuated by coughs, disjointed cursing and maniacal giggles.
Each page is filled with inscrutable handwritten doggerel, much of it in Cyrillic, which includes violent ramblings such as “I have had thoughts about mass murder for a long time. I am very conflicted with writing this journal,” the text, translated by The Post, reads in part.
“I need to get my thoughts out without getting on a watchlist haha!”
She also goes into great detail about his decision to target Annunciation, where her mother, Mary Grace Westman, worked until her 2021 retirement, according to a Facebook post by the church.
“I am feeling good about annunciation. It seems like a good combo of easy attack form and devastating tragedy and I want to do more research. I have concerns about finding a large enough group. I want to avoid any parents, but pre and post school drop off,” another page reads.
“Maybe I could attack an event at the on-site church,” he ominously scribbled. “I think attacking a large group of kids coming in from recess is my best plan … Then from there I can go inside and kill, going for as long as I can.”
The unhinged shooter also expressed deep admiration for mass shooters — including Sandy Hook killer Adam Lanza.
“I have a deep fascination with one man in particular: Adam Lanza,” she wrote in the journal on May 23 in reference to the 20-year-old perpetrator of the worst elementary school shooting in US history, which left 20 first-grade students and six adults dead.
“Sandy Hook was my favorite, I think, exposure of school shootings.”
Another video posted to YouTube in the hours before the massacre showed off a cache of weapons — including a semi-automatic rifle and a shotgun.
Magazines were scrawled with “for the children” and “kill Donald Trump.”
Westman applied to change her birth name from Robert to Robin in Dakota County when she was 17 years old, according to court documents. That name change was granted in January 2020.
The petition added that Westman “identifies as a female and wants her name to reflect that identification.”
Westman, who died at the scene of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, was armed with a rifle, a shotgun and a handgun.
The shooter was not previously known to law enforcement, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told reporters at a press conference.
https://www.nytimes.com/live/2025/08...hurch-shooting
https://apnews.com/live/minneapolis-...chool-shootingInvestigators have identified the attacker as Robin Westman, 23, who is believed to have been a former student at the school, according to a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. The suspect’s mother is a retired school employee, the official said.
The suspect’s social media accounts contain videos of diary entries that describe the killing of children and a drawing of the Annunciation Church’s sanctuary. The videos also show weapons, bullets and what appear to be explosive devices scrawled with violent language.
The shooter: The police chief said the shooter was in his early 20s, did not have an extensive known criminal history and acted alone, but did not release any other information. A law enforcement official told The Associated Press that authorities identified the shooter as Robin Westman. That official was not authorized to discuss the ongoing investigation and spoke on condition of anonymity.
