So let's pretend the National Guard being sent to DC was a good and smart move that's completely legal and necessary due to National Security Lol.
Why didn't Trump do it before 2020?
Also, I'm curious which hotel chain/owners will invoke the Third Amendment if the National Guard suddenly shows up and starts asking for rooms. Oh sure, it'll end up in courts, but I doubt it'll be settled in 29 days.
"The Third Amendment says homes, not businesses."
Trump literally lives in a hotel. All an owner or manager has to do is move in, boom, court case.
There's a picture of what certainly looks like Trump, apparently heading out to go golfing, wearing identical clothing to what he's worn on some previous golf outings. That picture is as real as any picture gets these days. (I think it depicts real events.)
But the press was then kept away from Trump on the course. And a number of unofficial pro-Trump accounts then posted pictures of him in the same clothing as evidence that he was in good health... but the pictures they were posting all appear to have been weeks or months old
Donald Trump is acting or being handled unusually; he virtually never passes up a chance to rant at the press, and he thrives off attention. (And from what I've seen, his social media feed seems "off" as well, but that's subjective.) Trump has a quieter schedule than he usually does.
Sure, maybe he just wanted a distraction free vacation on one of America's larger holidays. Or maybe whatever is causing the anomalies is unconnected to his health. There's certainly plenty of subjects for speculation! He could be scared of questions about Epstein, throwing a tantrum over something, been warned about an assassination attempt by Putin, or even actually be trying hard to do his job. (Okay, that last one is a joke.) But if his administration were trying to cover up some sort of health crisis that left him ambulatory but obviously unwell - such as a stroke three or four days ago - it would probably look a lot like this.
"For the present this country is headed in directions which can only carry ruin to it and will create a situation here dangerous to world peace. With few exceptions, the men who are running this Government are of a mentality that you and I cannot understand. Some of them are psychopathic cases and would ordinarily be receiving treatment somewhere. Others are exalted and in a frame of mind that knows no reason."
- U.S. Ambassador to Germany, George Messersmith, June 1933
I think that week old golfing photo with Gruden was just Trump's team doing some trolling. It wasn't necessary to post it, and they knew the source would easily be found. He's obviously had a medical situation of some sort which sadly has not diminished his capacity for schizo posting on social media.
Those photos are from a video, and in the video you can see the 45-47 on the side of his hat, which at least clearly makes these not photos of a 2019 event. That's all I was saying.
They could, of course, be from some other golfing outing this year. I'm honestly not going to get too invested in either answer at this point, except to repeat that there would be some definite schadenfreude if the GoP were forced to 25th Trump due to unfitness to serve as President.

Reagan didn't know where he was for half his second term. That said, getting Vance to be the president for the last year of the term would be a very good idea anyway. It gives him the incumbent advantage. It's what Biden should have done with Kamala. But I doubt the GOP would oppose Trump in any way so that is only happening if he croaks. Honestly kind of best case scenario for them is for him to pass a few months after the midterms.

I read somewhere Trumpy had put on too much orange and ICE deported him to El Salvador. Vance is argueing he can't do anything to get him back.
Trump would never let him, he is still leaving his endorsement vague. He should be talking up JD Vance right now to set him up for success, Trump plan is to stay in power beyond 2028. These deployment in major cities are tests, he wants to weed out those who won't be loyal when it's time to seize power.
Trump says US military power would be ‘instantly obliterated’ without tariffs
"He's taken in trillions of dollars in a couple months?"Without Tariffs, and all of the TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS we have already taken in, our Country would be completely destroyed, and our military power would be instantly obliterated. In a 7 to 4 Opinion, a Radical Left group of judges didn’t care, but one Democrat, Obama appointed, actually voted to save our Country
No. That's a lie. If they continue for ten years, they'll take in four billion. Even if you assume Trump means his first term, we're talking 2 billion tops, and Trump hadn't put on tariffs nearly this strong in 2017 or 2018, for example.
"Was our military power instantly obliterated in 2024?"
No.
"Was our military power instantly obliterated in 2023?"
No.
"Was our military power instantly obliterated in 2022?"
You can stop asking, I think the point's been made.
"Didn't Trump say the tariffs would reduce the debt, not fund the military?"
Yes.
"Didn't Trump float refund checks?"
Yes. The tariffs aren't taking in trillions, and there isn't enough in them to solve all the problems Trump claims. He's doing what Trump does, promising everyone to everyone and then not paying. He's also trying to tell SCOTUS that the end justifies the means, that the debt/deficit that he personally widened is such a big deal, he should be allowed to break the letter and spirit of the law granting him tariff power.
"Isn't it dangerous to say your entire income is based on random numbers and the whim of a thin-skinned sociopath?"
Very. If, hypothetically, France said "fine, you win, we'll give you everything" and Trump took the tariffs on France to 0, he would also have to publicly admit he was damaging our military and debt by doing so. He wouldn't, of course, but I'd do it for him. It's either a penalty, or it's income, but it's not both, and it's never in the Congressional budget because they've ceded its value, its ever changing value, to Trump, and they can't spend 1d6 million dollars.

Its amazing how on the brink the entire country apparently was until Golden God Trump swept in and saved us all. And nobody else noticed that we were teetering on the edge!
So does tomorrow make it one week he hasn't been publicly seen?

So PragerU, the school for pedophiles, has released the questions for Oklahoma's "America First" test they'll give to teachers to test for quality and definitely not for loyalty.
One thing you'll notice is those two questions are batshit insane, the second thing you'll notice is the certificate where it CERTIFIY's the person taking the test. Nothing says "we're trying to make sure teacher's are good at their job" by not knowing how a 7 letter word is spelled.Teachers moving to Oklahoma from California or New York will now be required to pass a newly unveiled “America First” certification test, a 34-question exam designed in partnership with PragerU and championed by State Superintendent Ryan Walters as a way to block what he calls “radical leftist ideology” from entering classrooms.
Walters said the measure ensures that teachers entering Oklahoma classrooms reflect “American values” and adhere to the state’s curriculum standards. “We want great citizens. We want our kids to have a patriotic education,” Walters said.
Critics, however, have branded it a political loyalty test. National education groups, including the American Federation of Teachers, warn it could worsen the state’s ongoing teacher shortage by deterring qualified applicants.
“This MAGA loyalty test will be yet another turnoff for teachers in a state already struggling with a huge shortage,” AFT President Randi Weingarten said.
The full exam has been released publicly, and the list of questions has been obtained by News 9.
The test combines traditional civics questions with additional questions regarding gender and identity:
Cultural and identity-related content:
Why is freedom of religion important to America's identity? (It protects religious choice from government control)
"What is the fundamental biological distinction between males and females?" (Chromosomes and reproductive anatomy)
"Which chromosome pair determines biological sex in humans?” (XX/XY)
"How is a child's biological sex typically identified?" (Visual anatomical observation and chromosomes)
“Why is the distinction between male and female considered important in areas like sports and privacy?” (To preserve fairness, safety, and integrity for both sexes)
“What did the Supreme Court rule in the 2025 case Mahmoud v. Taylor?” (Public schools cannot require participation in LGBTQ-themed instruction without parental opt-out)
"What cause is Martin Luther King Jr. best known for?" (Advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion)
"What did the Emancipation Proclamation do?" (Ended slavery in the rebelling Confederate states)
"What right does the Second Amendment protect?" (The right to keep and bear arms)
"Which of the following are explicitly listed in the Bill of Rights?" (Freedom of speech and religion)
"According to the Supreme Court cases Meyer v. Nebraska (1923) and Pierce v. Society of Sisters (1925), who has the ultimate right to direct a child's education? (The parents)
Civics and history basics:
“What are the first three words of the Constitution?” (We the People)
“How many U.S. Senators are there?” (100)
"Who were the first three U.S. presidents?" (George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson)
“When was the Declaration of Independence adopted?” (July 4, 1776)
“Who wrote the first draft of the Declaration of Independence?” (Thomas Jefferson)
"Who was President during the Great Depression and WWII?" (Franklin D. Roosevelt)
"How did the Cold War end?" (The Soviet Union collapsed)
"What was Abraham Lincoln's primary reason for waging the Civil War?" (To preserve the Union)
"In the United States, which of the following is a responsibility reserved only for citizens?" (Serve on a jury)"
"What was the primary reason the colonists fought the British?" (To resist taxation without representation)
Government structure:
“What are the two parts of the U.S. Congress?” (The Senate and the House of Representatives)
“Who signs bills into law?” (The president)
“What is the highest court in the United States?” (The Supreme Court)
"What is the primary responsibility of the president's Cabinet?" (Advise the president)
"Why do some states have more Representatives than others?" (Representation is allocated by population)"
“What is the supreme law of the United States?” (Answer: The Constitution)
Patriotic symbolism:
"Who is called the "Father of our Country"? (George Washington)
“What is the name of the national anthem?” (The Star-Spangled Banner)
“Why are there thirteen stripes on the American flag?” (To symbolize the original colonies)
“Which national holiday honors those who died while serving in the U.S. military?” (Memorial Day)
"Which of the following is a phrase from the Pledge of Allegiance?" (One Nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all)
Foundational ideals:
“Why is freedom of religion important to America’s identity?” (It protects religious choice from government control)
“From whom does the United States government derive its power?” (The people)
Certificate of completion
Those who finish the exam receive a digital certificate of completion issued by PragerU. The certificate, which can be reattempted until a passing score is achieved, verifies that applicants have successfully passed what the certificate calls a “Teacher Qualification Test.”
There is no requirement for test-takers to submit information attesting to their status as an educator apart from an email and phone number.
The word "certify" is mispelled as "certifiy" on the official certificate.
Walters’ defense and national implications
Walters has defended the requirement as a safeguard against what he describes as California and New York mandates teaching “27 genders” and erasing differences between men and women.
“You're gonna have to know what a woman is... You’re going to have to show that you understand the basics of American government and American history,” Walters said in an interview with News 9.
Walters says the initiative could serve as a model for other states, saying that officials elsewhere have already reached out with interest.
Critics warn of recruitment crisis
Opponents say the move could further strain Oklahoma’s already thin teacher pipeline. Rep. Cyndi Munson (D-OKC) called it “another day of chaos and confusion brought to us by the State Superintendent,” while Democratic Party Chair John Waldron said it is “a sad echo of a more paranoid past.”
“Teachers are not rushing here from other states to teach,” Waldron said. “We’ve got an enormous teacher shortage, and it’s not like we have a giant supply of teachers coming in from blue states anyway.”
Roughly 250 current Oklahoma teachers may also be asked to take the test under Walters’ plan. The Oklahoma State Department of Education has said no taxpayer funds were used to develop the exam, saying that PragerU created it without contracts or payments.
Of course, they're doing this to push as many teachers out so they can start hiring unqualified pedophiles to gauge which child is the most fuckable.
So Andrew Cabarello of Getty snapped the first real photo of Trump leaving the White House we've seen in... over a week.
Can't speculate off of one grainy image about the state of his health but 1. He's alive 2. He's not looking great.
I think the most compelling theory I've seen is that Trump is having TIA episodes, largely because of dragging his legs, being unable to walk in a straight line (remember that one video of him meandering all over the red carpet?), swollen ankles, the fact that his health report has him on a daily dose of Aspirin (doctors no longer suggest daily aspirin for clot prevention), and a bruise appearing on his hand around the 24th of every month.
He's old, he's 79, it's clear they're covering up some sort of health issue. I don't even think old people having a health issue is bad, but I think it's pretty irresponsible to elect someone who has been in VISIBLE decline for the last several years and can barely form a complete sentence since before Covid. It's also a strong reminder that MAGA realizes once Trump is gone, that's it. It's a cult of personality and they know it. JD Vance won't be able to unite the Nazis like Trump could.
I'd be more concerned about a 20-30 year fascist regime if Trump was a younger adult in his 40's, but he's old, overweight and is going to lose all value he has to the fascists in power once he dies or the dementia really sets in. As much as I still worry about MAGA Republicans fixing elections and refusing to yield the reins of power, I also foresee a big MAGA civil war once various narcissistic sycophants try to move into the vacuum of power left by Trump's death. Which will, more than likely, prevent them from organizing enough against a united front.
The only problem is that Democrats are doing everything in their power to suppress the progressive left and the left has their own civil war brewing as it becomes increasingly clear that Democrats are just as hostile to progressives as they are to MAGA.
“Terrible things are happening outside. Poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart. Men, women, and children are separated. Children come home from school to find that their parents have disappeared.”
