That's hate speech and promoting violence, if you don't hear that with what Kirk promoted, than you are also a dangerous person.
So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause.

Yeah I don't believe the callous deserve anything but my contempt.

Bootlickers might not consider that violence, but it's plain as day to everyone else.

Fuck Charlie Kirk. If he survives, so be it. But as one of the pieces of shit on the front lines of the vile rhetoric that's gotten us to where we are now, I will shed no tears for him, nor the state of the society he helped foster.

You voted for someone who led a lynch mob to the Capitol. After they had done so. And he pardoned the terrorists. So, you do think it's right, and are lying in this post.

Reminder for anyone in the thread who forgot how Donald responded to Democrats being assassinated in Minnesota earlier this year.

I think the correct response is thoughts and prayers.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

"Law and Order", lots of places have had that, Russia, North Korea, Saddam's Iraq.
Laws can be made to enforce order of cruelty and brutality.
Equality and Justice, that is how you have peace and a society that benefits all.

Sorry. I can only give one thought or one prayer. I've unfortunately run out due to all the other mass shootings this year.

Lost in the shuffle of someone saying school shootings were acceptable dying in a school shooting, the poor and worsening economy, and Trump raping children, is the deal with Venezuela.

    "What deal?"

Whatever Maduro paid $670,000 for when he funded Trump's election with foreign money. Well, I guess technically Citgo's US branch donated it, but that's like saying "it's Starbucks peeing on your car" after I drink a venti and relieve myself in your back seat.

The charge is not that Mr. Maduro bought himself anything meaningful and lasting with that half-million-dollar donation. The contribution was a reflection of the times, when pundits and some foreign ministers confused Trump’s opportunistic criticism of his predecessors and “America First” rhetoric with a less militaristic approach to foreign affairs, as well as the general incompetence of the political leadership in Caracas, which in the run-up to the 2016 election used its English-language state media to promote Trump as the candidate “less likely to engage [America] in needless wars.”

The accusation, rather, is that Trump took money from a man who is, in the words of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, “effectively a kingpin of a drug narco state” — or as Trump himself put it, a man “responsible for mass murder, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and acts of violence and terror across the United States and Western Hemisphere.”

Sounds like a monster, if true. Here, then, is a complementary question that may be asked by any sentient member of the Washington press corps: Why did you take so much of that blood-soaked money?
Maduro should have known better than to assume Trump would pay him back, because Maduro is a carbon-based life form.

Unrelated: gas prices are still up over the last week/month, might have something to do with Israel attacking Qatar. Sorry, Israel conducting genocide and some of the attempted survivors being chased across the border. Qatar was given like ten minutes' notice.

Oh, and Poland just invoked NATO Article 4, basically the emergency meeting when one of the NATO countries is slapped and cooperation for defense is discussed. Article 5 is next, "an attack on one is an attack on all" and, should that happen, Trump will either flake out on our European allies, a betrayal of generations of goodwill and cooperation, or be the WH resident who led the world into its third war. Russia is already claiming the drones going into Poland was an accident, so hopefully it doesn't go that far.

UPDATE: It's also been a record-level harvest year. Normally a good thing. Problem is, having a glut of supply and lower demand drops prices. Not only is less selling, it's selling for lower values.

What an ugly fucking time we’re living in. The last thing these lunatics needed was a martyr. Can’t wait to see how the country will pay for this…

And what a nice distraction from Trump’s pedophilia to boot. Just perfect.

Well, if the shooter was a maga nutjob (which they usually are), we could be lucky and the right would just try to bury the story quick.

I would be genuinely surprised if Russia doesn't find some way to keep it from going that far. I can't imagine that they want the military ire of more countries mobilized against them, given the trouble they've been having with "just" Ukraine. Even assuming Trump forces the US to stay out of it.

I'm honestly expecting to wake up to news of a political assassination, or at least attempts, made against Democrats.
The distance between what is said and what is known to be true has become an abyss. Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous. The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil. When truth leaves us, when we let it slip away, when it is ripped form our hands, we become vulnerable to the appetite of whatever monster screams the loudest.

If I had to answer "Is Putin ready to end the entire world over this?" I would say "Maybe, but his officers aren't."

If Putin hits NATO and NATO responds in full force, including the USA, they can start WW3 and end humanity, fight conventionally and lose, or surrender. I don't see China seeing Putin hitting Poland and saying "Yes, this is something we're prepared to die for." More of a "I'ma eat this popcorn and see this play out while cementing our #1 position in the world." I think the general consensus is that we're not ready to go to full-on war for Ukraine, but we will for the UK or France. Especially with Putin signaling weakness and Trump being a bully. I think Putin's government is about as loyal to Putin as the GOP is to Trump: fine while he's winning, knives out when he's killing his own country.

And I think Putin knows all of this. If his goal was to scorch the planet, he'd have tried by now. His goal is Russian expansion, not turning Moscow into a pile of cinder blocks.

I don't know how many times Putin can "accidentally" strike NATO countries before they take actions, probably espionage.
