Yeah the absurd amount of pearl clutching going on right now borders on hilarious if the rhetoric wasn't so toxic; from a political movement that gleefully claps at Trans Suicide Jokes and made snide quips about the MN Assassinations...

Granted, they got just as outraged at Cracker Barrel changing their logo so it's also hard to take their sudden hand wringing seriously.

Comedy is dead in 2025, how unfortunate. Maybe 2026 their shooting attack helicopter jokes will catch back on and comedy will be alive again.

Man. Between Kirk's murder yesterday, and Trump's obvious signs of stroke today, it's been a rough 48 hours for our poor bedraggled fascists. They're probably going to have to console themselves by invading another "Democrat city" soon.

UPDATE: His hands aren't any better in real life.

We have entered unusual times: AI makes hands better than a TV game show host's makeup department.

I am not surprised that at his current age and occupation he is probably too impatient for make up. They cannot work wonders if not given time. They probably need to dip him in house paint.

Ok, but what about the clawed hands in the back, who's are those and why are they comically villainous.

When he dies (and it's looking very much like when, not if) they'll just be pumping out ai videos of him claiming he's alive and well and still working, aren't they?

The problem is when the President has to do the SOTU address or has to actually address the press. The problem is that the moment someone like Trump starts to disappear from the spotlight by not doing public appearances, people will start to think the man is dead. And we already seen that happen recently when he didn't make any social media posts for a few days.

Good question. I non-sarcastically, non-ironically, do not know. From the table, it has to be the special indoors ceremony, and there weren't a lot of pictures there, probably because Trump looks like shit.

    I know it's not Melania.

Incidentally, this is him at the game. Doesn't look a ton better. I don't think it was anyone here, either, I doubt whoever it was stopped to change. By the way, Trump was booed at the Yankees game. And I couldn't find the same outfit at the memorial itself.

I don't think there was an argument that it was if and not when
Well some of his followers do treat him like god so maybe they think him immortal

Fortune and others cite the latest CBO report which says, not only is Trump bad for jobs and inflation, he's also literally killing the country.

Trump’s immigration crackdown is resulting in the U.S. population growth shrinking faster than anticipated, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO)—a phenomenon economists have warned will lead to a labor shortage, drive up inflation, and, under some circumstances, shrink U.S. GDP growth.

The nonpartisan budgetary agency published a revised demographic outlook on Wednesday, projecting death will exceed births in the U.S. beginning in 2031, two years earlier than it previously projected, as a result of a diminished immigrant population as well as lower fertility rates.

The CBO attributed the revisions in large part to Trump’s 2025 reconciliation act, or “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which provides a total of $170 billion for immigration and border enforcement, including a lump sum of $29.9 billion to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations and the hiring of 10,000 ICE officers.

About 290,000 immigrants will be removed from the country between 2026 and 2029 as a result of the law, the CBO said, and about 50,000 immigrants will be detained per day in the same period. An increase in ICE personnel will lead to 5,500 more arrests in 2026 and 100,000 more in 2029 than if the policy had not been enacted. Another 30,000 are projected to leave voluntarily between 2026 and 2030.

This crackdown will have a direct effect on labor, according to the agency.

“CBO estimates that the additional detentions resulting from the law will have two effects,” the report said. “First, people who are detained will not be available to work and will therefore not be in the labor force. Second, detention increases the likelihood that immigrants who receive an order of removal will be successfully removed.”

The White House did not immediately respond to Fortune’s request for comment.
You can read the full report here.

Now, file this under "duh" but the exact numbers are probably new. Unlike Trump, the CBO doesn't just make shit up. Neither do other sources, typically.

A working paper published in July from the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), a conservative economics policy center, found negative net migration could lead to a loss in consumer spending and a diminishing labor force that could shrink U.S. GDP growth by 0.3% and 0.4%, or roughly between $70.5 billion to $94 billion in annual lost economic output.

“Our workforce is disproportionately made up of immigrants relative to their share of the population, and because of that we…really can’t sustain a high level of job growth with the U.S.-born population alone, because there just aren’t enough bodies, essentially, to do that,” report co-author Tara Watson, a Brookings Institute economist and professor of economics at Williams College, previously told Fortune.

Moody’s chief economist Mark Zandi said last month the labor force shrinkage, as a result of a narrowing immigration population, could even have inflationary effects, predicting inflation could rise from 2.5% to around 4% early next year if deportations continue at their current rate.

“Foreign-born labor force is declining, and the overall labor force has gone flat since the beginning of the year,” Zandi told Fortune last month. “That’s causing tightening in a lot of markets, adding to costs and inflation.”

You can see it in meat prices, agriculture, food processing, haircuts, dry cleaning,” he added. “The fingerprints of the restrictive immigration policy are all over the CPI and PPI numbers we got this week.”
"Surely Trump will find some way to fix this in the next few months!"

It's September. At this point, the farming season is already fucked. The best that farmers, most of whom voted for Trump, can hope to do is wait for the Fed to lower rates so they can take out loans so they don't go bankrupt until 2026.

IMF says US economy showing strains; tariffs pose some risks to inflation

IMF spokesperson Julie Kozack said inflation was on a path to meet the Federal Reserve's 2% target, but there were some risks that could push it higher, largely as a result of tariffs imposed on imports by the Trump administration.

"What we've seen over the past few years is that the U.S. economy has proven to be quite resilient. We do see now that some strains are beginning to show," she told a regular briefing. "Domestic demand has been moderating in the U.S., and job growth is slowing."

Kozack said the front-loading of imports early in the year in anticipation of tariffs had caused some volatility in economic activity in the first half, and tariffs were now adding to inflation risks.

As a result of the combined factors, she said, the IMF saw scope for the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates, although it should proceed cautiously, with an eye on emerging data.

She told a regular briefing that a downward revision in U.S. employment data announced on Tuesday was a "bit larger" than the historical average.
Kozack was flat-out asked in public if the USA's numbers could be trusted. She refused to answer.

Really? The framing made his left hand (the one covering up the bruises) look especially small to me.

Ah, maybe because I actually never looked at him for that long. Anyway, if you focus on one point, you can see that small color shifts occur throughout the video.
