For once he was telling the truth. Those arrested were highly skilled engineers. They were in the US to set up the machineries, systems and processes, and train the US crew on how to operate and maintain the machineries. This was normal. Geogia State authority has always turned a blind eye. Because the people with necessary skills and experiences to do that simply do not exist in Georgia.

Unfortunately, somebody forgot to inform Kristi Noem that.

Well, maybe they have some trained, capable people at one of the Georgia-Pacific plants? Let's see what they're up to.

Billions in economic losses expected due to Georgia paper mill closures

    Oh no!

International Paper announced in August that it was closing two mills in Riceboro and two in Savannah at the end of September. Georgia-Pacific closed its paper mill in Cedar Springs at the end of July.

The closings will have a direct economic impact of $1.7 billion, according to Devon Dartnell, Forest Utilization Chief for the Georgia Forestry Commission. The indirect impact is $845 million. The effect due to the loss of wages is $318 million.

"Does Trump know about the Israeli strikes?"

I remain unconvinced Trump knows how many children he has. I think he's telling the truth in that he wants Qatar to love him, I think it's possible he was trying to give Israel a message, why he couldn't do that by picking up a phone and calling is beyond me.

    Then he won one.

Donald Trump reveals plans to ‘quickly’ end war in Ukraine in ‘letter to world’

Trump believes if all NATO countries refused to buy oil from Russia, the conflict could be put to a stop. He also suggested placing tarrifs on China of 50% to 100% for its purchases of Russian petroleum. He suspects it “will break that grip” between the two countries, who have a strong alliance.

Trump posted a letter on his social media site, Truth Social, and described members of NATO who purchase Russian oil as "shocking". He also slammed the defence alliance for its commitment to ending the war, and said it has been "far less than 100 per cent".

He partially said: “I am ready to do major Sanctions on Russia when all NATO Nations have agreed, and started, to do the same thing, and when all NATO Nations STOP BUYING OIL FROM RUSSIA."
"Why does he need NATO to stop buying oil before putting sanctions on Russia?"

He doesn't. He could do it right now. He could go right to his desk and do it. He has chosen not to.

"If this would end the war very quickly, why didn't he do so already?"

Good question. I believe the last two questions are related. Trump is, in fact, not ready to put sanctions on Russia. He wants an excuse to tariff China. He wants to keep Putin happy and is making it sound like, somehow, it's other people's fault he hasn't punished Russia.

"Did Trump bring up his own meeting with Putin in Alaska, after which he suggested Ukraine just surrender land to Russia, when he was talking about commitment far less than 100 percent?"

    No.

"Did Trump point out his own blocking of his own arms sale to Ukraine when he was talking about commitment far less than 100 percent?"

    No.

"Why did Trump make this a tweet instead of going on live TV and interrupting the Emmy's? Or just a video?"

It probably has to do with Trump looking like a Reese's Pumpkin from last Halloween left out in the sun. He looks like shit and is dialing down public appearances. Also, if Hollywood hates him right now as much as everyone else who ever worked with him hates him, imagine if he interrupted one of their biggest nights just to claim he has a plan to DO SOMETHING! South Park would just be the locomotive of the train running his fat ass over.

"Why are countries like Turkey buying Russian oil, anyhow?"

Because it gets cold in Turkey in the winter, and they drive cars in Turkey all year long. You might not like it, but it's an economic reality akin to Americans buying Chavez' oil. You can read more about it here.

    "But Putin's a killer!"

There are a lot of killers. You think our country’s so innocent?

There's no blind eye being turned here. Never was.

It's literally an industry standard practice to use B1 business visas in cases such as these as the workers will be typically spending less time in the US than it takes for them to get a H1B visa.

Furthermore, these workers weren't being paid in the US. They were being paid in Korea by their Korean employers.

I work at a British multinational law firm in Spain, one of our local clients is a large Spanish renewable energy company that invested heavily in solar power in Texas.

This company has several proprietary technologies that it was going to implement, to do so, they needed to ship in components not available in the US to be installed by engineers who understand the tech and those engineers would have also trained the local maintainers. There were even plans to fly US engineers and technicians to facilities in Spain for demonstration.

Tho getting visas for the Spanish engineers never ended being a problem because the company pulled the investment months ago due to the uncertainty around tariffs and the cost of importing the components for the plant from the Spanish, Dutch and Chinese factories of the company.

They had everything lined up. The land, permitting, construction was about 70% done, they were hiring local staff. Then they abandoned the whole thing, cut their losses, sold the plot and moved out of the US completely.

After the Texas project they were already scouting for investments in Nevada, Arizona and Louisiana. All gone.

Turns out the coked up son of a known pedophile is also an awful person. I mean, we already knew that, but I had to come up with something to call him a coke addict.

On the anniversary of 9/11, Donald Trump Jr. unleashed a stinging rebuke of transgender people that compared them to the terrorists who committed the attacks.

“I can’t name, including probably like Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, a group that is more violent per capita than the radical trans movement,” the president’s son said during an appearance on The Megyn Kelly Show on Thursday.

He went on to say that there are probably many “mass killings” that the public does not know about “because you’re not allowed to talk about the truth.”

“I’m sure people are totally sane after jacking themselves up on hormones given to them by some rainbow hair freak doctor because they think men can somehow magically become women,” the president’s son added.

The Journal‘s report cited unnamed law enforcement sources, and a senior law enforcement official told the New York Times that the report has not been verified by analysts from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

The Journal report came two hours after the conservative podcaster Steven Crowder posted an unverified screenshot that he claimed was taken from an internal ATF email discussing the bullet casings.

Trump Jr. and Kelly both seized on the report, which comes weeks after a transgender person killed two children at a church in Minneapolis.

In the aftermath of that shooting, the Justice Department reportedly weighed proposals to restrict the right of transgender people to own guns.

Earlier this year, the Trump administration barred transgender people from serving in the military and restricted where transgender inmates could be held in federal prisons.

Last month, Trump Jr. took to X and wrote, “It’s almost like guns aren’t the problem,” along with a list of mass shootings he claimed had been committed by trans people.

He expanded on that claim on Thursday, telling Kelly that “it feels like [trans people] have done practically every mass shooting in America for the last few years.”

Data from the Gun Violence Archive, which has been tracking mass shootings since 2013, found in 2023 that 0.1% of cases involved a transgender person. Several other archives have reported that somewhere between 96% and 98% of mass shootings have been committed by cisgender men since tracking began.

In addition to his claims about transgender people, the president’s son echoed his comments selectively blaming far-left rhetoric for escalating political violence.

“The reality is... we’ve seen they’re not willing to be nice,” Trump Jr. said about Democrats.

“The violence is only going one way.”

While the deadly attack on Kirk, the two attempted assassinations on Trump last year, and a 2017 shooting at a congressional baseball practice all notably targeted conservatives, there have been several violent attacks on Democratic politicians in recent years as well.
There's a bit more, but nothing truly pertinent.

The best part of all this is because they arrested skilled workers especially engineers they did what engineers do. They mapped out the entire facility and journaled everything of their experience from the food to how many people per room to the guard schedules and behavior. Trump basically created the worst commercial for US investments in history playing basically 24/7 all over South Korean media.

    Blatant intentional falsehood.

A mass killing in the USA, that the USA doesn't know about? Falsehood. You could make the argument that some (schools) are reported more than others, and you could make the argument that some people don't care about some killings, but killings are reported on and not suppressed.

There being many that happen and are not public is an objective lie.

And of course, who is suppressing them? Trump is in the WH. Nobody could stop him. Nobody can stop Trump from talking about them.

Well, you know the deal, and this is a big one. @tehdang you will explain how there are "many" mass killings that we don't know about. This is your chosen leader, he made a claim without evidence, and you're the one who supports of and approves of him. You will explain how and why what Trump said makes sense, or you will agree that Trump lied. Silence means I get to pick for you. Funny story, it also means he's spreading conspiracy theories, a reportable offense.

    UPDATE: China responded.

China hit back at the claim by Keith Kellogg that Russia's war in Ukraine would end very quickly if Beijing withdrew its support for Moscow, saying the trade relations are "normal" and that China has promoted peace talks.

Kellogg, who is Trump's special envoy to Ukraine, made the comments at a security conference in Kyiv. He called Russia the "junior partner" to China and said it is losing the war in Ukraine.

Large-scale oil purchases by China have given vital support to the Russian war economy through the biting economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. and Europe over Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.

Beijing also accused the U.S. of "bullying" and threatened a firm response as the Trump administration urges NATO allies and others in the G7 to crank up the pressure on China and Russia with new tariffs and sanctions that could help force an end to the war in Ukraine.

Lin Jian, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said China has kept a consistently objective and fair position on the Ukraine war and promoted peace talks, state-run Global Times reported.

"The majority of countries, including the U.S. and Europe, continue to engage in trade with Russia," Lin said at a regular press briefing on Monday, September 15.

"The normal exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Russian enterprises comply with WTO rules and market principles, are not targeted at any third party, and should not be subject to interference or influence from any third party."

On the call from the Trump administration for sanctions against China, Lin called it "a typical act of unilateral bullying and economic coercion, which seriously undermines international trade rules and threatens the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains."

"Facts have proven that coercion and pressure are unpopular and will not solve the problem. China's position on the Ukraine crisis is consistent and clear. Dialogue and negotiation are the only viable way out," Lin said, according to Global Times.

He added: "We firmly oppose certain parties directing the issue at China, and we firmly oppose the imposition of unlawful unilateral sanctions and long-arm jurisdiction on China."

Lin said China would take firm countermeasures if its rights and interests were harmed.
The bolded is a good point. Yes, China does more trade with Russia than the US does. According to Trump's own data, in 2025 alone, the US imported $2.5 billion in Russian goods more than we sold them. Not only did Trump forget to mention this when putting tariffs on Russia...did he put tariffs on Russia?...but Trump also hasn't cut off trade with Russia entirely.

Oh, by the way, the gap was $2.5 billion in 2024 total. That's right, under Trump, we're objectively buying more from Russia. Huh.

So, according to Trump, the US is allowed/encouraged to buy Russian goods, but China is forbidden. That doesn't make sense, and like I said earlier, it isn't supposed to. Trump just wants a National Security Lol excuse to tariff China, and I do hope that the courts see that the US is now a National Security Lol against itself. By Trump's definition, of course.

A post from Trump saying that "Companies and Corporations should no longer be forced to “Report” on a quarterly basis" but rather report every six months. This comes as multiple companies have reported bad earnings reports amid tariffs. Sure this will make markets gleeful.
