Trump administration officials are exploring options to sell off parts of the federal government’s $1.6 trillion student loan portfolio to the private market, according to three people familiar with the matter.

It’s a gross comparison, given the fact that Trump is basically George Wallace and he wants to use the Guard to invade cities, not advance civil rights.

Addressing a rally on Saturday, he had said, "look at what's happening last night in Sweden", as he listed parts of Europe hit by terrorist attacks.

With no such incident reported in Sweden on Friday, the country asked the US administration for an explanation.

Mr Trump tweeted on Sunday that he had been referring to a TV report.

To be fair, Ive always felt that the GOP writ large have always disliked hitching their wagon to Trump specifically, in the sense that they know he’s a senile, crippled incontinent horse that gallops in whatever direction he chooses. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem appeared in Portland, Oregon, Tuesday, in a display of government power responding to an “army of Antifa.” Pictures from the scene revealed that “army” was approximately a dozen photographers and protesters on a street corner, including a man in a chicken costume.

Noem was photographed, during the day, on the roof of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Portland, surveying the street below. The facility has been the site of nightly anti-immigration raid protests – some of which have turned aggressive recently as federal law enforcement clash with demonstrators.
