A quick Google search shows the NG comprises about 38% of the overall military:

You quote reply to my posts, but alter the quotes to say stuff like "usual garbage." The reply continues with base personal insults like "the knight in shining armor coming to lick the boots." The post is on the East Wing's physical location and whether people know it's not part of the white house, FDR and events still in living memory, the East Wing's recent creation compared to the White House, the banal use for office space, and the desirable shift from holding events in tents on the lawn to indoors. If that all bores you, simply don't respond.

As Republicans continue to claim "Democrats are shutting down the government to give illegal immigrants health care" that is objectively false, and has been this entire time, as that AP article from one fucking month ago lays out.

Democrats say they are pushing for the inclusion of key health care provisions in the next congressional spending package. In particular, they are seeking an extension of tax credits that millions of Americans use to buy insurance on the Affordable Care Act exchange and a reversal of Medicaid cuts made in the bill Trump signed into law in July. However, immigrants in the U.S. illegally are not eligible for any federal health care programs, including insurance provided through the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid. Hospitals do receive Medicaid reimbursements — which would be reduced under Trump’s bill — for emergency care that they are obligated to provide to people who meet other Medicaid eligibility requirements but do not have an eligible immigration status, according to KFF, a nonprofit health policy research, polling and news organization. This spending accounted for less than 1% of total Medicaid spending between fiscal years 2017 and 2023.

Immigrants in the U.S. illegally are not eligible for insurance bought on the Affordable Care Act exchange or for Medicaid. To qualify for the former, an enrollee must live in the U.S., be a U.S. citizen or have another lawful status and not be incarcerated. The "health care for illegal immigrants" is unchanged. It was the law before, it was the law after. Hospitals can't let someone die just because they can't pay, and reimbursement laws are not part of the discussion. Instead, Trump is trying to reduce health care for both legal immigrants and also US citizens, and Democrats are trying to halt that.

My thought, and it might change, is that people saw the excavator pics and are shocked and angry that Trump would dare to change anything, since they hate Trump. Theodore Roosevelt could (and did). FDR could (and did). Trump can't. They had known little and couldn't identify the East Wing before now, and didn't know it was behind some trees and obscured from street view. They are studiously ignoring the White House need for an indoor event space for visiting guests, because the wrong person is doing it!
