Hey, can you answer my question as to why demolition started before any plans were submitted?
Your tone policing schtick isn't particularly interesting or clever anymore, nor is how shiny the boots are after you're done licking them.
Just FYI, your point wasn't worth addressing because it was made in bad faith, as others have highlighted. Framing a picture from one part of a building, while hiding that both the east and west wings are part of the same building and very much attached, was in fact bullshit, which is why I decided to save MMO-C the 50 or so bytes of data by not fully quote your tired nonsense.

Hegseth doesn't dispute the existence of a memo planning for the establishment of a "National Guard response force that's gonna be trained in crowd control and civil unrest and deployed in all 50 states by April 2026."
Steve Bannon is saying that Trump WILL be President in 2028 (which is of course a given, but in the context he's saying that Trump plans to still be in office come February 2029).
They're screaming it in our faces exactly what they're going to do, so if Democrats have any secret plans I'm sure glad they're secret because if they don't have any plans we're all pretty fucked.

Dude's been a bullshit peddler and professional underbridge dweller since the Obama era. When he can't dispute you, he tone polices you. When he can't tone police you, he ignores you. When he can't ignore you, he blocks you. Like are we still actually trying to get anything of substance out of this guy after he's peddled countless conspiracies, posted countless straight up falsehoods or misleading statements, and only ever blocks people who push back hard enough that he can't simply play dumb and tone police them the entire time?
“Terrible things are happening outside. Poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart. Men, women, and children are separated. Children come home from school to find that their parents have disappeared.”

Oh no, I know, I just enjoy occasionally trying to see if he's ever gotten the help he needs, or is willing to come back to reality with us.
Not that I really expect anything mind you. But all the other weirdos have seemingly fled the scene, so we have slim pickings.
A quick Google search shows the NG comprises about 38% of the overall military:
If they do follow through with this, that would leave the rest of the military understaffed and vulnerable. Not surprising for this administration. The National Guard comprises approximately 38% of the total U.S. military force structure, making it a significant portion of the U.S. Armed Forces. The Army National Guard alone provides about half of the Army's available combat forces and one-third of its support organization. The Air National Guard is also a substantial component, performing about 30% of all Air Force missions.
Reuters and other sources confirm what I have been posting for a week: Trump found enough unused research money to refit into exactly one military paycheck.
Still seems to be money to tear down the White House.
"The ballroom funding is coming from outside donors!"
Have any outside donors volunteered to pay for military paychecks?
"No."
Hmm. Isn't that interesting.
People not being paid include Social Security support staff and air traffic controllers. I'm sure they'll appreciate how nice the new ballroom is supposed to look while they're waiting in line at their local food bank.
You quote reply to my posts, but alter the quotes to say stuff like "usual garbage." The reply continues with base personal insults like "the knight in shining armor coming to lick the boots." The post is on the East Wing's physical location and whether people know it's not part of the white house, FDR and events still in living memory, the East Wing's recent creation compared to the White House, the banal use for office space, and the desirable shift from holding events in tents on the lawn to indoors. If that all bores you, simply don't respond.
What doesn't work is a 'fuck your post and fuck you, bootlicker, hey I got a question' performance. And then a whine about tone policing, like you do this to your family and friends regularly and they never react to your words. When you've exhausted your visible display of hatred, let's circle back. If the display is somehow a necessary, load-bearing part of your posts for you, then I urge you to reconsider in the interest of showing you want the conversation.
No no no -
DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHERE THE EAST WING IS VISUALLY?
That's what's important.
What the average American thinks.
But only on this.
The average American blames Republicans for the shutdown but that doesn't count because there's zero consistency. Just propaganda and dishonesty.
I can't wait to see the Epstein Ballroom.
Well funny you say...
Trump: "By the way, a friend of mine called us the other day and he said 'I'd like to contribute any shortfall you have because of the Democrat shutdown. I'd like to contribute any shortfall you have with the military.' Today, he sent us a check for $130 million. It's gonna go the military.
So did it say: Pay to the Order us military? Did the Memo say: For The Troops!!!
In this link someone posted in this link that a daily military payroll is $210 million so wouldn't even pay for a day. I'm not going to vouch for this or do the math but seems right.
He lies like a 3 year old who's brain hasn't developed when you can debunk the lie so easily.

As Trump's shutdown continues, I want everyone reading this post to guess "Is Trump going golfing this weekend?" before you reach the end.
As Republicans continue to claim "Democrats are shutting down the government to give illegal immigrants health care" that is objectively false, and has been this entire time, as that AP article from one fucking month ago lays out.
The "health care for illegal immigrants" is unchanged. It was the law before, it was the law after. Hospitals can't let someone die just because they can't pay, and reimbursement laws are not part of the discussion. Instead, Trump is trying to reduce health care for both legal immigrants and also US citizens, and Democrats are trying to halt that.Democrats say they are pushing for the inclusion of key health care provisions in the next congressional spending package. In particular, they are seeking an extension of tax credits that millions of Americans use to buy insurance on the Affordable Care Act exchange and a reversal of Medicaid cuts made in the bill Trump signed into law in July. However, immigrants in the U.S. illegally are not eligible for any federal health care programs, including insurance provided through the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid. Hospitals do receive Medicaid reimbursements — which would be reduced under Trump’s bill — for emergency care that they are obligated to provide to people who meet other Medicaid eligibility requirements but do not have an eligible immigration status, according to KFF, a nonprofit health policy research, polling and news organization. This spending accounted for less than 1% of total Medicaid spending between fiscal years 2017 and 2023.
Immigrants in the U.S. illegally are not eligible for insurance bought on the Affordable Care Act exchange or for Medicaid. To qualify for the former, an enrollee must live in the U.S., be a U.S. citizen or have another lawful status and not be incarcerated. A Medicaid enrollee must meet certain financial requirements, be a resident of the state in which Medicaid is being received and be a U.S. citizen or have a qualifying lawful status.
Health care premiums for millions of Americans could skyrocket if Congress fails to extend tax credits that many people use to buy insurance through Affordable Care Act marketplaces. Those subsidies were put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic but are set to expire.
Among the Medicaid cuts Democrats are seeking to reverse is a reduction to reimbursements hospitals receive when they perform emergency care they are legally mandated to provide on people who would qualify for Medicaid if not for their immigration status. This would affect the 40 states, plus Washington, D.C., that have adopted a Medicaid expansion created by the Affordable Care Act.
The law Trump signed would also restrict the eligibility of lawfully present immigrants such as refugees and asylees for insurance through the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid and Medicare.
I can see how you think I would be getting paid the way my fan club treats me like some people treat retail workers at the store! I usually hear Russia instead of Israel, but maybe Israel will make a comeback.
Sorry, it's just an internet discussion forum and I want to hear what the left-wing really thinks. Not what the left-wing politicians say and do to get re-elected. I want the real stuff, and this forum has the partisan dominance that allows that to be spoken freely.
I have some difficulty squaring the, for example, Newsom "He’s literally destroying the White House" (perpetuating the disinformation that this is that majestic 1800s facade), and the posts here that go "oh, he just didn't file the right forms first." My thought, and it might change, is that people saw the excavator pics and are shocked and angry that Trump would dare to change anything, since they hate Trump. Theodore Roosevelt could (and did). FDR could (and did). Trump can't. They had known little and couldn't identify the East Wing before now, and didn't know it was behind some trees and obscured from street view. They are studiously ignoring the White House need for an indoor event space for visiting guests, because the wrong person is doing it! The forms are just the motte, the bailey is that Trump should be prevented from changing the East Wing. All this anger is the real center of the topic, and in two weeks it'll be back to banal "the construction is taking too long" or "the funding is a bribe" or "obviously the next president can change the entire interior and remove Trump's love of gaudy display."
And no, changing a building with offices to a ballroom is not destroying the White House. One modern addition to the grounds is being replaced with another modern addition. I'm as mad about this as I am about FDR giving it two stories. Or Obama's basketball court. I think both will arouse as much anger as this will when similar amounts of time have passed.
You dismissed all the argument that led to it, as is your right, but that argument is why you're wrong to call it a lie, which you are. 1940s office buildings aren't the White House, and calling it destroying the White House perpetuates a lie. I posted a photo of the White House and it still stands there, facade untouched. One modern addition is being replaced with another. But, you can read and respond to my post if you're interested as to the whys. It doesn't serve a purpose to repeat arguments you've ignored in order to call it a lie.
You've successfully managed to quote a real part of my post, and calling my posts "absolute garbage" is a very clear step up from calling me a boot-licker or deepthroating a cock. So you obviously know the difference, as much as this post tries to conflate the difference.
Did they get approval for this construction? Did they submit plans? Did they follow the rules?
Is it an emergency that needs to happen while the government is shut down?
These foundational questions that need to be asked before we get to, "GOSH THE LITERAL ENTIRE WHITE HOUSE ISN'T BEING DESTROYED YOU LIBS" dishonest pearl clutching (I think we can safely agree that Newsome is not talking about "the literal entire white house" and is using mild hyperbole to get attention for the outrageous actions happening right now, but that's just me using my little grey cells) and the demands that we point out where it's located visually or anything.
But hey, if you're a big proponent of the privately funded (bribed) Epstein Ballroom, you do you, fam.
BREAKING: Hegseth says U.S. is sending an aircraft carrier to Latin America in major escalation of military buildup in the region.
I mean escalation, poor allocation of resources, government shutdown, blah, blah blah.
This really is "Wag the Dog" tactics to distract and feed his little piggies that we are killing those evil drug dealers.
