I keep coming back to this, but there is a deep misunderstanding perpetrated regarding the ethics of violence. All the "violence never solves anything" or "violence is never justified" bullshit.

What you said is mostly right, but the point I am making is that the elites have already succeeded in selling the idea that any and all state-sanctioned violence is justified and any violence outside of that isn't.

And it's not a "deep misunderstanding" like it came out of nowhere; it's very much intentional and all of this is the expected and optimal scenario crafted and sought out by the elites.

Yeah, unfortunately this is just loads of copium. Authoritarians have already a winning strategy to get the people themselves to divest all effective resistance. China, Russia, North Korea are but some of very successful examples of authoritarians starving and oppressing their people to various degrees but they still don't have any substantial organized resistance.

I think Trump is going to ramp up his agitation efforts now that Dems has won a bunch of state election AND his efforts in Portland and Chicago aren't going as planned. Fascists need a boogeyman to enact authiritar policies, and he isn't getting it. The country is racist but not racist enough. The economy is shit but not enough. He fucked over the federal government too much for people to be angry at it so he can justify retaliation and sweeping power grabs. Hopefully his administration is too stupid to figure it out.

With a Victory, we have tremendous, but fair, Financial and National Security. Without it, we are virtually defenseless against other Countries who have, for years, taken advantage of us.

Our Stock Market is consistently hitting Record Highs, and our Country has never been more respected than it is right now. A big part of this is the Economic Security created by Tariffs, and the Deals that we have negotiated because of them.

SCOTUS might side with Trump, saying that yes, Trump can do whatever he wants for any reason. But these tweets are not being introduced in court because they have no business there. They're meaningless in context.

To expand, I live in Virginia now, and all I hear on the radio is how much she hates trans people, and how she needs to stop democrats from taking power. None of her ads had anything to do with policy she wanted to push aside from banning trans people from basically living normal lives. That was it, no other policy.

Campaigning on hatred is all she had.

I have no faith in SCOTUS doing their job, but if they were being fair and reasonable, all they would need is to ask "what's the National Security Lol from Madagascar?"

Trump has put high tariffs on Madagascar, a country the size of my dick with a population of four lemurs and one Chris Rock. We import their goods because you can't grow vanilla in Ohio, they don't buy ours because they have no people and no money, that doesn't make the country a threat. There is no reasonable situation by which SCOTUS, or anyone, could say "Madagascar is a National Security risk big enough that the emergency protocols Congress grants the WH for emergency use in emergencies need to keep us from losing in Pandemic, please Trump take the brave step in sanctioning a country with the GDP of one-tenth of an Austin, Texas". It sure as fuck isn't fentanyl.

I really do think the conservative members will get together and hash this one out. "How can we possibly let Trump do what Trump does and declare it legal?" This may simply end up another "whatever the WH does is assumed WH business unless a separate court case finds otherwise first" ruling, that the WH can literally name anything it wants National Security Lol.

Which, yes, means if we ever get a Democrat in the WH again, they should use Trump-era policies to just round up any SCOTUS members they don't like and throw them into the ocean. "These rulings are a National Security Lol," they should tweet, "but maybe the justices will find some helpful penguins when they swim to shore."

If they were shrewd they’d say trump can’t levy tariffs if for no other reason than to try and save the GOP from itself.

The tariffs have been objectively bad. The GOP in Congress won’t dare stand up to Trump over the matter. The Supreme Court, who don’t have to worry about pesky things like “reelection” could strike it down to force the matter and both get Trump to drop the tariffs that are negatively affecting the GOP in the polls without requiring those same GOP to actually grow a spine.

Hard to say though; the Supreme Court has up until this point largely been one of “listen we’re just going to let Trump do whatever he wants, stop bothering us.”
