FOX News reports *ding* that Trump added eleventy mazillion jobs in September.
"No, they didn't."
Okay no, but they did say Trump said he created 119,000 jobs, double to triple what everyone predicted.
"You're going to claim those numbers are false, aren't you?"
I don't have to. FOX News already did.
Yep, FOX News went directly into the revisions, unemployment, and loopholes. I don't think they're buying it, either.
With August now at a loss, Trump has two negative months, 25% of his total. Biden saw 6.4% unemployment when he took the Oath of Office, reduced it to 4.4% by November, and it stayed lower ever since. Trump has undone four years of progress lowering the unemployment rate. I will remind everyone that, when Trump said there was 42% unemployment, it was Sept 2015, BLS reported then and reports now 5% unemployment. Trump claimed the WH was lying. He's most of the way back to 5% now.
Not including September's numbers, which are false-
"Wait, how do you know they're false?"
I tell you what, let's have this conversation again when they're revised. This number was well over what everyone except Trump predicted, and just about every jobs report he's released has since been revised down. If that doesn't happen this time, come at me. Until then, the evidence is on my side. I'm not the one who fired the head of BLS.
Not including September's numbers, which are false, Trump has an average of 65,000 jobs per month. In 2024, Biden added 167,000 jobs per month on average. It was 216k in 2023 and 379k in 2022. Biden never saw job loss. He had one month below 65,000 and it was Oct 2024. Even if that 119,000 number was true, which it isn't, Biden beat it six times last year, 11 times the year before, and every single month in 2022.
Trump is lying, but what stands out isn't that he's lying, of course. Trump lies all the time about everything.
Those were FBI agents responding to the murderous insurrection.
What's surprising is that Trump is trying to make a believable lie. Usually he just makes up something ridiculous that's the opposite of true. This time, he's attempting a number higher than the real number, but not ridiculous. And it's not working, because nobody believes him.
Not even FOX News.
