"Law and Order", lots of places have had that, Russia, North Korea, Saddam's Iraq.
Laws can be made to enforce order of cruelty and brutality.
Equality and Justice, that is how you have peace and a society that benefits all.

"What I meant was," the DOJ says under oath, "the grand jury did approve of charges being filed after all."
"Then why-"
Don't bring logic into this. With all the prep time they had, with all the evidence they themselves had acquired, they said, under oath, on purpose, no the grand jury hadn't reviewed it - only the foreman making some changes behind their backs. The evidence they themselves provided said this, and that was them presenting the case as best they could, with prep time.
Then, 24 hours later, they claim to have found one piece of paper that invalidates that, and the grand jury voted on everything after all.
Let me make this clear: even if this is true, this is embarrassing. I would say "Lindsey Halligan looks like she's never had a criminal trial before" except, no, she literally hasn't. Halligan, who was born in Maine in 1989 and could therefore literally be Pennywise the Clown, was picked out of insurance work in 2022.
"Yes, but doesn't insurance work still require, you know, attention to detail?"
You'd think. Maybe it was her job to lose things to deny claims. Anyhow, funny story, if they suddenly realized they had evidence they didn't turn over, pretty sure that's a violation of discovery - in other words, it doesn't matter if it's true, they didn't turn it over to the defense.
Honestly, the only benefit for Halligan here is she's less likely to be disbarred. It's a moot point. Who would hire her, after this? Her defense against "you willfully brought a fraudulent charge" is "no, I accidentally brought a legitimate one".
fuck these dangerous retards who are going to get americans killed with their own retardation
“Do not lose time on daily trivialities. Do not dwell on petty detail. For all of these things melt away and drift apart within the obscure traffic of time. Live well and live broadly. You are alive and living now. Now is the envy of all of the dead.” ~ Emily3, World of Tomorrow
Words to live by.
You also can't rule out a link between the phases of the moon and who wins the Superbowl.
That doesn't mean there is any connection, it means you've reversed the concept of burden of proof because you're a fucking misinformed idiot. You need to rule in a connection, by demonstrating at least some kind of correlation (which is not causation, but we're not talking about the directionality of cause and both being connected to a third thing or something more complex is always an option).
You rule in connections. Because you have data to support that connection. You dumbfucks.
The distance between what is said and what is known to be true has become an abyss. Of all the things at risk, the loss of an objective reality is perhaps the most dangerous. The death of truth is the ultimate victory of evil. When truth leaves us, when we let it slip away, when it is ripped form our hands, we become vulnerable to the appetite of whatever monster screams the loudest.

Q: Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?
MAMDANI: I've spoken about--
TRUMP: That's okay. You can just say yes. I don't mind.
Vid in Link.
Seems Trump don't mind if Zohran calls him a fascist.
Q: would you feel comfortable living in NYC under a Mamdani administration ?
TRUMP: I would. I really would.
Trump has a crush on Zohran.
Aaron Ruupar has more links to press conference. Trump is fawning all over Mamdani

"Buh dah DEMS"

I don't think any reasonable person expected this to turn into a shouting match; at worst it was gonna be an attempted dressing down. But all the clips I've seen have been Trump just sort of laughing along and defending Mamdani's records and rhetoric and it's fucking bizarre compared to the unhinged nonsense of the last couple of years.
Granted, Trump's easily swayed and flattered by whoever seems to talk to him last; so I'm sure Trump will be back to 'normal' once Vance or Miller has a sit down with him.
I imagine the conversation went something like this:
Trump: I see people like you. I want people to like me. How can I do that?
The Winner: Well, you can show kindness and sympathy for your fellow man, and make sure the government does its job of keeping its people safe and healthy.
Trump: Uh-huh. Is there some other option?
