Oh Sanders is absolutely wrong about it. I hesitate to call anyone a liar any time any where as a general rule. There are a lot of outs for someone who might believe wrongly, or is convinced in their own head against all evidence otherwise, to throw around the accusation of lying. I've never accused anyone here of lying in all my time here. I may say that they're not being accurate, but I won't say they're lying.
You can be wrong and not lying at the same time.
It reminds me of the time one of my instructors gave bad information about something, and one of my classmates told him, "You're lying." He wasn't lying. He believed wrongly, and was convinced of it. I try not to step into that trap.
That said, is it much more likely that this is a calculated narrative knowingly put forth by a Press Secretary who knows it to be false than it is for her to simply be wrong? Absolutely. Still not going to call her a liar.

I look at the video and I think she's absolutely wrong. What does she see in the video? That she saw Acosta's hand reach down to grab her arm? That he grabbed her hand when he reached for the microphone towards the end? And what does she consider "putting hands on" anyway? Seems pretty straightforward, but it can also mean to simply be physically confrontational with someone.
I would be accusing her of something based on something she independently interprets. Not going to do it.

Sanders is wrong and Acosta was out of line, I'm breaking with both sides here. Guilty.
And her interpretation leads to her lying.
You can't say shes wrong and say you don't think shes lying. That's not how it works in the real world sorry.

Well you are right about Sanders being wrong, but the rest is bullshit. Its you trying to do the "both sides at fault" stick you do.

When your interpretation of events is at odds with what actually happened, and what actually happened is clearly visible on video tape, you have two real options; either you're delusional and losing the capacity to distinguish between your hallucinations and reality, or you're lying.
Barring literal mental illness, we have a word for when someone's interpretation of events is different from what happened. That word is "lie".
It's admission of trolling. Reported as such.
On topic: WHCA has, of course, condemned the act and calls for its reversal.
In a fictitious statement, the WHCA said "it's clear Acosta was trying to grab her by the pussy. Therefore, he absolutely belongs in the White House."
And now we have Sanders on the official press sec Twitter account doubling down on her lie with posting an edited video from a conspiracy guy to "prove" it. You just can't make this shit up. What the fuck is going on in America?
