Unfortunately not. It was an Afghan National that came over as part of the Afghanistan pull out and was granted asylum earlier this year under Trump.

What's not actually funny is that people don't know Asylum approvals aren't done by Article 3 judges, but rather Immigrations Judges who are part of the executive branch. So, both Biden's and Trump's DHS failed to properly screen this person, but it is solely Biden's fault to Trump's supporters. Also, because he was granted Asylum, he wasn't illegal at the time of the attack ... he was a legal immigrant.

Him being legal means *nothing* to the Trump administration.
Hell, the fact that being too brown is enough cause for arrear and potential deportation might have been the reason he shot the two guards.
Like a paranoia fueled panic attack about being sent back to Afghanistan.

I imagine the US credit rating getting downgraded also didn't help with the interest on the debt.

Oh look the CIA involved. So a much basic story that person worked for CIA and Afghan Intelligence helping they yes, we needed to extract this guy since Taliban would have killed him. Idk what is confirmed on PTSD side but seems legit if you are doing some heinous shit in his home country.
