The man's ego knows no limit - he just announced the navy will be getting a Trump class of 'battleships'. They aren't battleships, but he is obsessed with battleships even though they are obsolete so that is what they are being called.

Has any other sitting president named a class of ship after themselves?

The only good thing here is that none of those ships will ever be made, at least not during his presidency and likely not during his life time. (and after his demise it's very unlikely they'll be made.)

Trump is claiming the first 2 (of 25) will be launched in just 2 and a half years. Right. Especially given its meant to include AI, hypersonic weapons, railguns and lasers. Yeah, it's never getting built.

He also said they'd be likely replacing the Ford class supercarriers, with the current planned ones likely to be scrapped. That includes the Clinton and the George W, which sounds about right for the petty child he is.

Which the USA is violating every time they even suggest acquiring Greenland. Article VI, specifically. You don't get to demand the benefits from a treaty you openly violate.
