BREAKING: The Supreme Court keeps President Trump’s National Guard deployment blocked in the Chicago area for now

No kudo's to the SCOTUS. Must have been so egregious they couldn't even support it. Oh, Three justices, Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch, publicly dissented.

Here is article of ruling that they upheld by District Judge.

Oh! the For Now is the kicker I guess.

You're not gonna see it if Google, X, and most big corporations are in the pocket of both Trump and Israel, everyone here is going to be completely blind if they'll only believe WaPo to get their information especially since most major media organizations are at least cordial to Trump and friendly to Israel. Anyway to stay on topic with Trump, kinda crazy that Trump raped a child in the back of his limo and then talked about abusing other kids with Jeffrey Epstein in front of the girl. Then police found her head blown by a shotgun off after she reported the rape. It was deemed a suicide by police were sure it wasn't a suicide, but it was classified as one anyway.

This is just a tiny part of the shit released with the latest batch of Epstein files because despite redacting EVERYTHING, you can highlight text in the released document then copy-paste it into another document and MOST of the text is there. There's some pretty horrendous and heart wrenching stuff in here. Trump is a huge threat to children.

Little Marco just announced on Twitter that they will be sanctioning EU officials for "extraterritorial censorship" of US social media platforms.

The US really fucking lost its mind.

lmfao this is the dumbest group of idiots

marco's been doing way too much coke recently. this whole administration is taking donny's love of the 80's very seriously, including the copious cocaine usage!

I'm no naval engineer, but I'd like to see the napkin math on that. The size would make sense if it's basically just a massive floating diesel power plant.

Anyway, they better start building the shipyards that are supposed to make these right now.
As far as I know, there is no diesel engine that could generate that amount of power that is outside of a container ship. Every other ship that is naval tends to be nuclear because of the power output needed.

they should have told him that nuclear power is actually just god damned steam (which will never cease to be funny to me)

Ok, so this is the alleged design + specifications. This sounds like fantasy.
ok i'm not a ship expert or anything but this looks more like the kind of thing you'd build in a videogame than anything like, actually even theoretically practical or possible

The rail guns alone are years away from actually being in active use. Yes, the navy and military in general have been researching them but as far as I have seen(could easily been wrong here), a lot of the issues they have are simply a very limited use type item as the forces needed to generate what is needed to launch anything larger than a slightly heavy metal beam pretty much can easily destroy the gun itself.

Next, the amount of power needed literally can only be gotten by a nuclear engine when we are talking about actual naval rail guns. And, when a rail gun is fired, it takes quite a while to recharge the actual gun itself. Like at least an hour with the last set of tests that have been done.

Imagine having to wait an hour to fire a second bullet out of a gun because it took that long for the next bullet to lock into the chamber.

And this isn't talking about the laser weaponry(far more realistic) power needs and other weapons.

From what I understand, they basically abandoned even developing the technology any further because there was no surmountable way to bypass the fact that the force created warps the barrel after a handful of shots or so, requiring complete replacement of the barrel assembly. Any further armoring would make the barrel so unwieldy that it becomes difficult to aim and track at proper speeds, and any potential gains from launch speed of the projectile get lost in that additional bulk. Especially since for long-range strikes outside of conventional artillery, you've already got missiles.

It's the combination of needing it to be mobile enough for active aiming and resilient enough the force of the firing doesn't warp the barrel rapidly and having all this be cost-effective and advantageous over conventional weaponry that is the real bugaboo with railgun tech. Pick two of the three. Except you need all three for it to be worth bothering with.

When the interviewer asked if people in 1930s Germany should have followed Hitler because her logic means God intentionally put him in charge too, she just said they weren't talking about Hitler, they were talking about Trump, and refused to acknowledge the flaw in her reasoning.
Since those who disagree with Trump have been drawing more and more parallels between him and Hitler the past 9-10 years, I have noticed even not-totally-crazy Republicans have started asking questions like “Was Hitler really that bad or is what we know about him mostly Liberal propaganda?”.

A day is coming when disagreeing about Hitler’s character and deeds will be as common as disagreeing about the merits of the Covid vaccines is today.

    Consumer confidence drops yet again.

The Conference Board said Tuesday that its consumer confidence index fell 3.8 points to 89.1 in December, the fifth straight monthly decline and approaching the 85.7 reading from April, when Trump rolled out his import taxes on U.S. trading partners. November’s reading was upwardly revised to 92.9.

A measure of Americans’ short-term expectations for their income, business conditions and the job market remained stable at 70.7, but still well below 80, the marker that can signal a recession ahead. It was the 11th consecutive month that reading has come in under 80.

Consumers’ assessments of their current economic situation tumbled 9.5 points to 116.8.

Consumer Confidence is in the crapper....everything is more expensive because of tariffs....and somehow the GDP hit 4.3% this quarter?

    Something about this seems suspicious.

I don't think so. You're really underestimating how much the AI bubble is propping up the overall numbers of the economy even though the everyday consumer knows it's shit.

The selective wealthy are padding the numbers. Those people that benefited from trump's tax breaks are propping up the economy while the other 80% are going without. The Gilded Age. Its not great politicis, but its a great way to cheat yourself and your friends to becoming (more)ultra-rich.

AI circular investments have unlocked the infinite money glitch, once god pushes a bugfix and reality re-asserts itself the entire thing will come crashing down.

How's WaPo going for you guys now that they're sucking Trump off?

Hundreds of users see and take a picture of the same thing on Twitter with countless threads of people reporting it but it's fake unless WaPo reports on it, the refusal to engage with anything that's not fed to you by the media is quite a strange logical corner you've backed yourself into.

Seems like DoJ might have fucked up the redactions because DOGE cut their funding for adobe pro, which is required to do real actual redactions.

Is WaPo gonna tell you this? Nah, just a Discord with former government employees talking about stingy the government is with adobe subscriptions, and how pretty much everyone lost pro when DOGE went through.

I guess people who need a media link are gonna believe that absolutely never happened.
