1) The Nobel community doesn't allow it to be given away like that. It has rules for the prizes.
2) She may hope by showing/offering it, that Trump will pull back on his plans for her country.

I think the weird thing here is that a lot of the rational for being able to arrest Maduro is that the State department didn't consider him to be a 'legitimate' head of state and thus diplomatic immunity etc aren't being respected for him. But here you have Trump saying that he doesn't think Machado has the respect to lead Venezuela and isn't going to back her, thus tacitly acknowledging the ruling party... which would seem to imply Maduro WAS the head of state.

Bankrupcies jumped in 2025.

Total consumer bankruptcy filings jumped 12% from 478,752 in 2024 to 533,949 in 2025, according to Epiq AACER, a platform that provides U.S. bankruptcy filing data. And the committee is basically condoning it by saying the medal can change owners but the title can't. He doesn't give a shit about the title, he has what he wanted now. He's never said he wanted to be a Nobel Laureate, he's always said he wanted the Nobel Peace Prize. And now he does.
