Creating a rival to the UN? what would even be the purpose? Because it sure as sunshine wouldn't promote equality or stability.

This feels like Trump chasing a Nobel Peace Prize, creating a new entity so nobody else can take the credit when the people who paid him a billion dollars say Trump is the best bestiest best. The Board of Peace, as it reads right now, won't have any ability to enforce anything. I think they'll get Trump's good friend and fellow murderer Netanyahu to agree to a cease fire, rebrand it as permanent peace, then jerk each other off in the shower.

2 things.
One is legacy. Trump is literally trying to do whatever he can to be remembered. Even if it is in a bad light. Remember, Hitler and Stalin have a legacy. Both horrible legacies but they do.
Second is ego. Trump was actively told no. Trump also has the mentality and temperament of a 4 year old. And, while not all children do this, far more when told "No, you cannot have that" will keep doing things to get the very thing they want. So, since he was told no, he wants said thing even more and will continue to make excuses to get it.
I respectfully disagree. Trump is a sociopathic narcissist. He wants people to say they love him, whether they mean it or not, because he can't tell the difference.
Now, I will admit that he doesn't care what happens after he dies. If Melania, Kushner, Ivanka and the rest of the family are shunned into seclusion for supporting Fat Orange Hitler, or if they turn on each other and tear each other apart for the money Trump leaves behind, that doesn't matter to him. If the rest of the world turns on the US for 50 years and starves us into a third-world country, he doesn't care. What matters is people waving their Trump Card at the Trump Arch on Trump Day, while he is still around to see it.
For me the point where it clicked was his talk about the Monroe doctrine (or calling it Donroe...) Its from the 1800's about how Europe should stay out of the Americas (the continents, not the country).
This is a time where colonialism was still big and we had the British, French and Spanish empires. Its a view that made sense at the time for a still fledgling independent America
There is no way Trump knew or read about it himself. Someone told him about it, to sell him on a course of action. (like a bunch of tech bros)
So now you have Trump with stupid notions in his head wanting the USA to control of all the America's (and yes Greenland is technically part of that) and that would be his legacy. Like Putin wanting to recreate the USSR Trump wants to create the United United States of America.
It also ties into Venezuela. Its oil belong to the US, because all of North and South America should belong to the US.

It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

On top of everything else, Trump has ruined movies. Just after finishing watching "the Rip", I said to myself, pointless ending, Trump will just pardon the corrupt cops tomorrow anyways and they will be working for ICE the day after.
Speaking of movies, I have a theory. Maybe the dangers of our current world order is because everyone has forgotten how bad it was to be in a conflict since the veterans have all bit vanished or being ignored. The 80s had many Vietnam war mores that reminded everyone just how terrible it was. We had a few over the next couple decades but nothing really for ages now. People need a new age Platoon or Schindlers List to remind people how terrible war is.

My whole political stance pretty much boils down to "I care about other people and the planet" and wow does that make some people mad.

Where are you getting this nonsense?
If Trump and his cult were upset with 'foreigner' Bad Bunny doing the Super Bowl half-time show, wonder how they feel about an anti-Trump band opening the ceremonies.

Yes, I know Bad Bunny is Puerto Rican and thus American. Hence why foreigner is in quotes, since his cult doesn't understand that.

American Idiot at the Super Bowl? I might even watch that.
You know this Whole Milk campaign that the administration is pushing feels really weird. Why whole milk? It has more saturated fat and more cholesterol than low fat milk which has all the other nutrients in it as well.
It doesn't really make sense why they're pushing it until you realize that they were probably pushing a raw milk campaign but their lawyers told them that would be a VERY quick way to get sued into oblivion so they changed it to whole milk at the last minute.
Some people might claim it was just a Nazi dogwhistle, which it is as well, but I definitely believe they were pushing for raw milk and got slapped even by their ultra conservative lawyers.
“Terrible things are happening outside. Poor helpless people are being dragged out of their homes. Families are torn apart. Men, women, and children are separated. Children come home from school to find that their parents have disappeared.”
Diary of Anne Frank

I choose to believe it's a weird-ass dogwhistle referencing Homelander's freak weirdo shit about milk, because these same chucklefucks somehow didn't realize Homelander was a villain until like Season 4 somehow? Despite him constantly being mocked as he does fascist shit? Somehow, his girlfriend being a literal Nazi named "Stormfront" didn't twig them?
No, they understood it all the time. They side with Homelander because he's an insecure dipshit who wants a mommy to love him. He speaks straight to their Nazi values.
And that's why they're obsessed with milk.
Is this ridiculous and probably incorrect? Sure. I'm believing it anyway because these absolutely cringe dipwads don't deserve any better.
The push is kinda weird. Though there are a few nutritional differences between whole and skim milk. The process by which the fat is removed from milk also removes a lot of vitamins. Vitamins are re-added to compensate, but vitamins like A and D are fat-soluble and tend to absorb into the body better with whole milk. A lot of skim milk has extra sugar added to make it taste better, which kinda defeats the purpose of being a "healthier" option. I can't remember the specifics but something about full-fat dairy does something regarding gastric emptying and makes you feel fuller longer. I guess that makes the extra calories a wash. Ultimately, there's not really a huge health difference between the two which makes the push odd. I think your raw milk theory makes sense.
Does the US only have two kinds of milk?
In Denmark we have 4 different fat variations, I've included the direct translations from Danish, lol
Whole milk: >3.5%
"light milk": ~1.5%
"mini milk": 0.4-0.5%
Skimmed milk: typically 0.1%
I don't think many people use whole milk these days except maybe for food or coffee.
(UHT milk is not used much here at all)
