This is hardly the first "Trump says we already have a Wall" post we've seen. Since Trump knows he's not getting his Wall, his only choice is to retroactively claim we have one, thereby making his promise fulfilled. Remember this tweet from March? Yes, he is really trying the "I built this already existing stuff and it was the best bestiest best and I did it" because he knows his followers will pretend to buy it. Not actually buy it -- but they're too far in to admit they were wrong. It's an act. But they'll pretend they always wanted a fence, pretend that Trump built it, pretend that shutting down the government over a fence Trump says he already has anyhow makes sense, then cry into their single scoop of ice cream (they can't have two) as they die a little inside every night.

I pity them. But I'll continue to mock them when they try pulling that shit here.
