Dacien was already in here attempting to justify his behavior with blatant lies. Then he tried to play the victim because like we were mad he was defending Trump when in reality we were bothered that he was just spouting blatant lies and expecting us to accept the lies as a truth.

So, basically Trump doesnt want to work with Democrats, so he decided to collapse talk about infrastructure which needs repairs, unless he gets what he wants? Jesus what a manchild.
''NOOOOOOOO I dun wanna work with Timmy (aka the Democrats) cuz he has other views!'' *stamps foot*

Been hearing people say trumps tantrum might have been preplaned simply to get out of the infrastructure talks because they had no real plan made up.

See...at one point, they did have a plan. They had a week on it and everything. It was the one disrupted by literal Nazis marching the streets with torches.
Granted, Trump has since called the plan "stupid". It was made by two of his own people (Cohn and Gribbin) who have since left. Trump's reasoning is the public-private partnerships., and he's now claiming he hates those because they're too ugly to grope without consent.
But a couple things.
A) Even if that's true (and, therefore, he wasted a year and change pushing a plan he hated) politics is often about compromise, and
B) Trump promised $200 billion would get $1 trillion done. You can't magically make money appear like that. It required others taking the tax cuts and then deciding to buy roads and bridges, fix them, and charge extra taxes (tolls) for them. Yes, you can see by my word choice I didn't care for it either, but Trump's promise was to get free infrastructure. That required investment from nongovt sources. No public-private partnerships, no plan.
So, i'll grant you that you could be right: there could be no real plan made up anymore. But they had one. And they ditched it.
Now, Trump making a big showy gesture of throwing it away because he's being investigated for all that stuff he did, just means he's intentionally abandoning another campaign promise. It will be thrown back in his face later. Just a reminder: even the rabid fanbase know they backed a lying loser. They just refuse to admit they made a mistake. But they also vote while nobody's looking...or, stay home, wallowing in guilt and crying into their single scoop of ice cream.
That’s not the funniest part... I’m going to do what Trump did there... write a note for my self to remind my self that I will continue to work. Without a note that I will keep working, I wouldn’t remember why my alarm went off 10 min ago or where I plan to drive in an hour.

Christ...that first line "They want to impeach me over acts that they did". He....he had to write that down to remind himself of his own craziness. Not even he believes it when he has to fucking remind himself to stay one script. Then of course you have the stupid line of "I will continue working for the American people" another fucking thing he has to remind himself of to keep the act up.

What-he-meant-was went on CNN claiming she think's it's a "complete lie that" congress can investigate Trump AND work on infrastucture. This makes sense, as she is known to have trouble walking and breathing at the same time, so people doing two things at once is a foreign concept.
Worse, there's 535 members of Congress.
Even if all of them are only able to ever work on one project at a time, and they can't work in less than groups of 5, that's still over a hundred potential projects that Congress could be working on, at the same time. And this is assuming members have to do all the work themselves, and there are no government staff.
This is more of the current talking points, you're right. As I've mentioned before, Trump should not currently be involved personally in the investigations anyhow. He refused to answer any questions, and everything else goes to his personal lawyer Barr and the Treasury. Neither of them have anything to do with infrastructure.
Trump is projecting the same. The HJC, HIC, HOC and, I dunno, HVAC aren't tasked with building bridges. But there is a House Transportation Committee.
This is their dot-gov website.
This is their Chair.
This is their Twitter.
You will notice their last (at time of writing) tweet is a retweet of Sen. Tom Carper:
So, basically, the WH's argument is objectively false.President Nixon was under investigation when he signed into law the landmark, bipartisan Federal Aid Highway Act of 1973, amidst the concurrent Watergate hearings in Congress.
Yes, we can investigate and legislate.

Pelosi is going in on Trump...
I guess he's not up for the task. I hope his family, friends or members of his administration have an intervention.

Oh this is great... #TrumpTantrum and #TrumpMustResign are trending in the US

Kind of off topic, but has Trump somehow managed to get a hold of the White Houses facebook page? The messages coming across it this morning are starting to resemble his Tweets.....
IMPOTUS Donald Trump's presidency summarized:
-- as he blamed others for the crisis, basked in self-congratulation and xenophobia, and misled the country about his actions so far.
Thats a very high bar of shame, they are getting everything they wanted with holding the presidency and the senate. Got the tax bill through, and now rubber stamping a seeming endless stream of republican activist judges. Trump is both the useful idiot and a great distracting from judicial side of things.

So I guess Trump spells at about a 7th grade level. What an achomlishment.
