I see Trump got a crowd cheering for the US women's soccer team loosing by claiming they lost because they were too woke. Very unpatriotic. And never mind they lost to an even woker nation in Sweden.

Ah yes, the World Cup winning US Women's soccer team are known for being too woke to play the sport they're world champions of.

We have multiple restaurants here with 10 or more staff out. Multiple places closed on days they’d normally be open due to sick staff. Theres even a ducking pizza place that is only able to do dine in, no phone orders the door sign said. And the chucklefucks just keep pouring into town.

Really feed kinda bad right now. As an extension of my last post, ended up talking to my niece. While went into other stuff I won't be mentioning here. I ended up telling her to please not go into healthcare when she gets older as she could get someone killed.

She said she didn't see how a vaccine could help against any virus. I asked her about Polio or Smallpox, at which point she responded with "What are those?" Had to tell her that they were viruses that vaccines had gotten rid of and that they also got the Measles out of the United States till some anti-vaxxers brought them back. She honestly doesn't believe any of that. And told me what the "News" in Florida was saying where I pointed out they were caught lying about their stuff for over a year now. She largely didn't care or believe me.

This level of ignorance and stupidity being passed to the next generation by these people is sad and dangerous.....

Just on a related note, in regards specifically to all the conspiracy theories Trump has pushed, and then how Trump has given national rise to the QAnon Conspiracy group, leading to a small majority of people rooted in reality labeling the new Party of Trump the GQP:

These people are in need of deep mental health specialists, and even then it might not be possible to save them. At some point, if our society manages to avoid The Party dominating Oceania, and rises above the bullshit and we flourish, I would bet this kind of behavior by the QAnon'ers will be labeled a mental health disorder.

Nah, it's alright. I felt bad for saying but I ended up telling her that myself. She is about 13 years old. In Florida she is home schooled and even then she calls me and asks for help on math and science because I actually know what I am talking about and even he knows it and because, according to her, they don't really talk much anymore and she actually wants away but at the same time he just had a new kid last month (With the side chick he dumped my sister for and he is like 44 years old too) and she doesn't want to leave him to grow up in that alone.

Said that when she is older, she really doesn't want much to do with him outside of the new baby with how he acts. But guessing its a combination of him and the culture of Florida but she honestly knows little to nothing about this stuff and even tried to tell me she saw on the news down there how half the people in the hospitals down there sick are vaccinated and how it doesn't really seem to work from what the news says down there.

I fear for her future because she will have so much crap that she was taught incorrectly that she will have to fix if she wants to have many jobs.

Making today's Monday report a quickie. Mondays are underreported anyway and I'm short on time today.

35,816 new cases; 132 deaths, bringing the total to 627,039. The case count isn't much higher than last Monday, but last Monday included 8k from Florida and this week there's no total listed, so expect the actual total to be a lot higher, especially since Florida tops the nation in new COVID cases.

Gosh, if only we hadn't had a year of the TRUMP SHITSHOW dismissing the virus as a Democrat hoax and sowing ignorance among a large portion of the population.

Fortunately we're now dealing with an administration that doesn't typically ignore pesky things like facts. Biden launches effort to protect people disabled by COVID-19. "Long COVID" is a thing and we still don't know the extend of the damage, so hopefully this provides some relief to those affected.
