Because that is what they ask for, and what they did before European rules prevented them from doing so.

I am trying to explain to you why voting leave was so popular among those working in the fishing industry. I am not saying they were right for doing so and in my opinion it looks increasingly likely that our representative for fishing in the European Parliament has sold them down the proverbial river.

I might have got the wrong end of the stick but your post comes across as if you believe that people involved in the fishing industry should vote against what they believed to be their best interests because they work in one of the UK's smaller industries.
I was replying to Madmossy who, clearly, is one sardine short of a can.

The argument is a red herring.

I'll mullet over but, in fact, most of this debate is cod awful. Most of it isn't benefishial at all.

Unfortunately that seems to be a widely held opinion in this thread.

I shall no longer post in this thread unless i can incorporate a pun on fish.

I hope the thought of this doesn't make you feel eel.

The fishing quota is there to prevent from the area becoming barren due to excessive fishing not due to "unfair competition for the UK" go ahead fish back as before the quota's, i'll be surprised if there'll be fish left in a decade.

Tends to happen when the brexiteer following has yet to produce any actual good argument of what they'll gain from it, how it actually will be done, how it actually will look like, in a way that's realistic. Generally voted on in favour of it based on falsehoods a simple good search would have questioned their believes, while do spending time questioning the opposition but not their own side like good little sheep.

Hardly traits or examples of intelligent human behaviour. If you had to gamble on how well informed they are i'm fairly certain the odds would be highly in your favour if you went for "not all that much".
