Can I wear both Althea’s Ashes and Magister’s Field Journal with same infusion (say +8 Agony Infusion)?
Some old forum posts are talking about "offensive and defensive infusion slot".
Is that obsoleted? or are they talking about WvW Infusions?

Yes? Infusions aren't unique, you can have +8 AR Infusions on all your pieces if you wish to

The unique nature of those are sort of a hold over from how infusions used to work.
You still cant wear 2 Altheas Ashes but the infusions you put in them dont matter. You can even stack infusions with auras.
