Vanilla is vanilla, The good AND the bad.
I'm all for bug/exploit fixes and BNet integration for cross game chat n stuff but once you start changing things like the graphics and classes what you end up with is not classic wow.

Feral druids were terrible dps. The itemization was poor. You needed leather with STR (1STR = 2ap) and high STA, which was pretty much non existent. There was a leather chest in BWL with high armor and str and that's it. Pre MC you needed %hit, Devilsaur were a must, which made a deep dive to your AP since they had no STR. Also weapons didn't affect your dps, since your dmg was based on the 1.0s cat's paw, so zero scaling. Tanking was also sub-par (but mildly better than dps), you relied on items with armor and high HP (Warden staff and those shitty armor trinkets). Avoidance was null no parry, no block, it was all mitigation sponge till the Boss decided to crushing blow you to death. I tanked Garr adds as a novelty, Sulfuron, even Rag. But never during progression and when healers were confortable and overgeared.
Any decent guild who had a feral, it was only as a novelty. Any person who cared about the guild over their ego would've respecced resto during progression content. It doesn't feel good at all when you know you are handicapping your guild. And then the drama begins when you want a dps item that is contested between 4 dps classes.
If they don't fix offspecs. They will miss a lot of people. Having to play a role you don't like is not fun, specially when you read the description of the class you are supposed to play and it's nothing like it's supposed to be in the end game. During vanilla people just kept going, since it took so much time to level another class. But now they have experienced what is like for offspecs to be successful. It's a slippery road for Blizzard if they don't fix offspecs, they will be segregating a lot of people.
I don't think ppl will be happy playing sub-par specs again, that competitive element is going to do exactly that push ppl away. at the time ppl didn't care much for damage meters, only killing the boss mattered not how much you contributed just that it died. I was trying to use this example this expansion when ppl were complaining about not getting their BiS legendary. 'its ok your still contributing' but no no ppl want to be able to compete or not play at all.
thats not what vanilla was though, tbc is where class competition and homogenization started.
I want Vanilla WoW to be exactly the way it was in 2004. Nothing different.
I would love to see updated models for everything, excluding characters. Their WoW models are godawful and no way in hell they'll re-create them again...
no need for remastered, but they can just make a spin off based on old philosophy, the hype would bring everyone back for sure
Nah screw a remaster, I want pure vanilla!
I thought I did, but apparently I don't

If you die you die but if you don't die you still die.
No, you can have that in your retail wow. I want classic wow AS IT WAS

I think you're misunderstanding the situation. The people who asked for a pristine perfect vanilla exactly as in 2004 are those arguing AGAINST any changes or adjustment to it. We want the original unchanged nostalgic experience.
Now there's a whole other bunch of people who probably never experienced vanilla wow asking for graphics, balance etc. etc. The ones you're sarcastically making fun of I guess. They're not us.
One thing i miss from vanilla wow. Weapon skills. I don't know why. But I liked having to run all the way to stormwind just to learn how to hold that blue sword that dropped.
At first I originally wanted some bug fixes but at this point I don't even want that. All I want is to be able to play at native 1440p/144hz with a high FOV.
Changing anything game-related will inevitably lead to even more changes which will lead to un-classic WoW
