I was so happy when I heard about this! LOTR is the best ever. Even Hobbit is fucking awesome. Doesn't even matter what it's about, as long as it's in the same universe, and even if the budget is only a fraction of what the movies had.
There's lots more stories to tell as well, so I hope Peter Jackson will do at least one more trilogy as well.

Well I hope that it wont be another Tolkien lore butchery that the Hobbit was, but I am not holding my breath...
And for the love of all that is holy, keep Jackson as far away from this as possible.

The many travels and adventures of Aragorn could make an interesting story. As Thorongil, he served under Thengel of Rohan and Ecthelion II of Gondor, where he was an important advisor to the Stewart. He attacked several bases of the Enemy, and he even journeyed in the Far South and Far East.

if they re did the hobbit "trilogy" (siiiiiigh) that would be great. kinda hard to beat the first movies though.
