    warglaives drop in BfA ?

Do you think blizzard gonna give us some new warglaives as drop in BfA or are we more likely be "forced" into the classical one hands ?

That's one of the reason I liked the artifact system too, each spec got really what they needed. But I don't think having weapon for one spec is really smart, daggers are allready enough of a PITA with only 2 rogues specs wanting them (and maybe feral now ? )

When googling 4 letters is asking too much fact-checking.

With personal loot and mythic +, I think there will at least be a couple new ones. May get the fist and polearm treatment though.

For years Hunters were the only class able to use ranged weapons and they had bows crossbows and guns drop, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect Glaives to drop, possibly not in every single raid/dungeon but certainly to be in game going foreward

Maybe they'll go the tier token route and replace weapon drops with a token that gives you the weapon appropriate to your spec that would have dropped from the boss.

But most likely there will just be one or two Warglaives per tier.

Rogues and Warriors also used them for stack sticks and pulling from a distance, all the way up through WotLK at least, maybe Cata too, I don't really remember Cata that well...

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and don’t have one, you’ll probably never need one again.

warriors could use bows back then couldn't they?

Yes or rifles. But they were more or less a glorified stat stick with the utility of a small ranged pull.

Monks didn't get any special weapon. Death Knights didn't get any special weapon. I don't see why Demon Hunter should.

    Warrior
    Rogue

sure they were just stat sticks and ranged pull tools, but still

Nope. DH is going to be stuck with just fists. No new glaives.

In one of the BlizzCon zone showcases (I think it was the Horde one, with the Blood Trolls), you can actually see a Demon Hunter with a new glaive model for a very brief time. They didn't look very special, just the usual questing design.

But we'll definitely get the Hunter treatment as in a specific weapon just for one class.

Most probably we will have some transmog but we'll be getting one handers as every warrior, rogue or shaman.

I don't think they'll go making glaives drop that only dh could use when we already share swords, axes...

Pulled with a bow all the time, since back then we didn't have Heroic Throw or something like that. I always carried a stack of arrows to pull, had to use an ability called 'Shoot' iirc.

For laughs I always put a scope on it. The +dmg ones.

    Warrior
    Rogue

What kind of comment is that? Warglaive as a weapon type was implemented with Demon Hunters. Other classes that have been added over time did not introduce new weapon types to the game so I'm not really sure how Monks and DKs make a good argument for no warglaives going forward.

there was a throwing knife that dropped in the twilight raid thing in cata. So we could still use ranged weapons there

Rogue is the only class that can use melee daggers. No idea why Blizzard wouldn't do the same with DHs and glaives.

I thought warriors and rogues could equip them as stat sticks, just like hunters could equip melee weapons at stat sticks. Was that later for rogues/warriors?

Funny enough, in Burning Crusade, the Legendary Bow in Sunwell? It was a rogue weapon. -_-

Seriously, the best arrows + the earlier Sunwell bow were more damage and better for hunters than the friggin' Legendary. So the day hunters got their legendary put in game, it was already obsolete. Yet it was BiS for rogues as a stat stick.

I'm still a little annoyed by it all these years later and I wasn't even raiding Sunwell.

As to the OP, I imagine they'll introduce new glaives. Other classes have weapons that aren't shared, so I don't see it being unprecedented.

This is true. I remember back in the day a guild actually gave a rogue the legendary bow from KJ in Sunwell, because the only hunter in the raid at the time was an applicant. Obviously Hunters usually got first dibs, but there were a few ranged items that were amazing for rogue/warrior.

If the hunter wasn't an applicant and has the bow from the first boss, they already had better than the legendary. That's what was so silly about it.

Sunwell First Boss Bow was better than the Legendary from Kil'jaeden. Just sad. T-T

After Rogues were able to use a legendary in Classic, the war glaives, then got a BiS legendary bow, I was salty about them getting a rogue-only legendary later on in Cataclysm.

I remember an old video from Classic of a survival hunter using Tfury/Survival spec and doing literal melee hunter pvp, sadly it doesn't seem to be around on the youtubes anymore. Also very sad that Blizzard couldn't even tell that the legendary bow wasn't better than an epic, was it just the lack of added arrow DPS? I feel like they adjusted it at some point, but that may just be my foggy memory, and it was probably too late to matter much anyways.
