I'd like to start going to the gym again but now, since I can no longer afford a personal trainer, I'm kind of lost. Not sure where to start and what is acceptable for my health condition.
Successful people build each other up, inspire and motivate each other.
Unsuccessful people hate, blame and complain.
2-3 times a week, supposed to be 3 but sometimes work and stuff gets in the way. The remaining days I try to go on the treadmill I have at home to keep fitter and reduce body fat, which is 2-4 times a week.

I train Kickboxing 5 days a week, walk 3 KM to and from that gym every day I train so that's 30 KM a week. I also lift weights at home, mainly weighted pushups, weighted chin ups / pull ups and weighted leg raises and curls.
Have build quite the body which i'm proud of this way.
Well I pay for it every month, but the past 7-8 months I did more payments than number of times I attended the gym...

I always and only do a variety of compound exercise and supersets, to be extremly efficient and dont waste time. On some days i do HIIT Cardio at the gym, and whenever the weater allows it i go to work by bicycle (10 km (6,2 miles) one way).
I started going to the gym this year in june and so far lost 20kg (44 lbs). Im extremly happy with my new self and will keep going on.
I go 6 times a week, haven't failed more than once or twice to the gym in the past 8 months since I signed up. Went from 64kg to 80kg and still going up. Im really really happy with my progress tbh
I've never really needed to go in the past. I went on some free trial to a women's gym once but I found the whole thing made me really anxious. In the last two years I started to notice that I was gaining weight though. Then in April I broke my ankle and wasn't able to put weight on it for 2+ months and the weight gain is even more noticeable now. My ankle still isn't 100% but I'd like to start working out even if it's just at home and start feeling better about myself.
Used to go 4 or 5 times a week but I just haven't had the drive to go the past couple of weeks. Anyone else going through this or have gone through it? Is it because it's getting cold outside and I'm weak?
I go 4-5 times a week. I tried 6x a week for a while but it was just much, not necessarily the exercise itself but my life intervened too much. I'd miss workouts because I had something to do that night, it was becoming a chore. Now that I've planned my workouts around my life it's much better this way. Doing a PPL program, 5 times first week, 4 times the other week. So far so good, loving it!
Voted for 2-3 per week, but now I have a small break.
I usually to go 4 times a week for 2 hours sessions with four days split workout schedule:
- Day One: Biceps, Shoulders, and Chest
- Day Two: Triceps and Back
- Day Three: Glutes and Legs
- Day Four: for cardio
Got a punching bag setup for Christmas and I have a treadmill so I'm going to start alternating with a day of rest each week for cardio. I'd lift as well but don't have anyone local enough to spot me. There really aren't any gyms around here in the middle of nowhere, which sucks.
I just go running outside and then do workouts at home. No need to go to gym. I wont pay money for more work. xD
I already beat all the gyms, why would i go back?
I work in Quarry / mining with old stuff constantly breaking = lots of body work, i am 60kgs 178cm tall and it seems my weight have frozen in time within +/- 1 kg even if i starve or eat like a pig.
I do not feel hunger ever. Missed todays lunch & dinner? no prob i eat later or tomorrow then.
I would like to add like 5+ kg of muscle, i think my body would be at its best slightly bellow 70kg.
Sometimes i try this 100 Pushups in 100 days thing and my starting result was like 22 and after a month i did 55+ then life was crazy busy again so i forgot it.
I am not that strong but my endurance & stubbornes is of the chart when it comes to stuff like swinging a sledge when straightening bent shit & tightening a crusher topnut.
I am a 33yo old dude from the forrests of Sweden btw.
If i had more time to spare in the future i would like to learn some MA.
/Cheers!
I use to go to the gym but I need to get back into it again.
I try to go 3-4 times a week, but Christmas and New Years have messed that up for me. I did a few quick at home workouts instead.
Was going 2-3 times a week and now switched to 3-4 just for a year to get some result.
