I have been to a few temples in Thailand and you just DON'T DO THIS.
Hell, you don't even go inside in a bikini, it's forbidden and there are warnings everywhere to dress appropriatelly. You can wander around in a bikini, but don't go in.
Showing butts around is truly asking for trouble. Those assholes (pun intended) got what they deserved and I hope they get some jail sentence in Thailand.
