4 additional slots for Authenticator

I don't own a smartphone, don't want to buy a keychain, and don't find four bag spaces to really be much incentive. I'd've gotten it for the pet alone by now if that were enough.

Seems strange to me that after resisting it for so long, when they finally decide to update the backpack it's for a measly four slots. I would hope they add more in the future.

I think I've seen a third party program that does so, but not an official product.

And I might even consider that if it were, say, an additional 16 slots or something. But as I said, four bag spaces isn't much incentive.

IMO, not having an authenticator on your account at this point in time, where it's free one all smart phones, is just silly. It makes your account a LOT safer so there's no reason to not have one. It's basically an in game reward to get those extra bank slots like how you used to get the free pet when you got one.

This, worth it even if I got negative bag slots from using it. Not that it matters to me whether others use it or not

If you can get 2FA for anything of relevance to you, you should get it. No matter whether or not it extra rewards you for it. I've see many people get account bans cuz their acco was compromised and got used cheats on.

Hassle of 1) having a smartphone I don't own 2) paying for physical one + shipping costs 3) using a pc app that is not sanctioned by Blizzard, so who knows if Blizzard won't have an issue with it one day.

What "every time"? Only if you travel to a different country or use a vpn that puts you into different country, which means in practice very rarely. So what's exactly the point of authenticator anyway since both with and without it will ask you to validate only in cases of logging from extremely remote IP to your last one?

I do not have one and I've never had my account hacked (playing about a decade). I've known people with them who've been hacked (at least one of them multiple times).

Security is not an incentive for me in this case.

I highly doubt your "friend" has one and has been hacked "multiple times". Yes they aren't 100% but they are pretty damn close to it because of how they set up the security for the account. Any unknown IP is required to input the code which generates every few seconds off an almost unbreakable sequence before even being able to log into the account. There have only been a handful of reported cases of this happening so far. Then to have it happen to him "multiple times" is where I call the bullshit. If your friend has been "hacked" its been by someone that knew his info & used his computer to do it.

On topic, I was hoping for 8 more as well. 4 is pretty lackluster and truthfully doesn't add a whole lot more bag space to your account. 8 would have been nice yet not game breaking.

Free backpack slots is cool. I don't know why you wouldn't have authenticator on your account already.. but I guess WoW is full of autistic people

You have to be retarded to not have an authenticator on your account already, so the four bag slots are just a trivial cherry on top.

No just adding an authenticator to your account gets you a pet. Whether it's the digital one or a physical one. If you remove the authenticator from your account you can no longer access the pet. So I would imagine that if you remove the authenticator you'll lose the bag slots also.

I asked when it started, I could confirm common sense in a few seconds myself if I wanted to know whats up today.

Also I imagine the opposite so we will find out whose imagination was accurate.

Just to clarify further and before I find myself in yet another semantic argument, before a digital authenticator was an option. In case you didn't know you used to have to actually purchase it.
