Do you like Cemeteries ?

Okay..most of us a going to end up in one.

Unless you get cremated and your ashes scattered outside one.

When I was younger, they used to scare me
I was always scared that I would run into a ghost if I walked through a cemetery

Nowadays, I still feel anxious being near a cemetery after dark.
Especially on a dark night with no moon & the wind is blowing through the trees

Yet, cemeteries can be a great place to learn about local history
And during the day thru checking out some of the headstones, one can see victims
of pandemics and battles. People also taken too soon .

And its always sad to see a headstone of a child.

I find them quite peaceful, actually. Whenever I visit my sister's grave, it's quiet and calm. I can sit there in peace for as long as I need.

Depends on the cemetery. Many modern cemeteries are rather boring. Older ones tend to have bautiful monuments and sculptures. Take Highgate Cemetery for example.

I do i live right next to one to, so it's pretty close when the time comes.

Cemetery is right next to the sea, so it's a bit windy there at times. Those family graves where whole families are buried are a bit disturbing.

It's very beautiful on halloween for example when everyone goes there to put candles.
