Philadelphia Fusion here. Shame they had to pull out of preseason, as I was very much so looking forward to watching them tonight. Oh well. Hope they get their visa issues figured out in time for the regular season.

Enjoying the other matches already so far.

Put “Tab Revolution” on your Chrome browser, put match on full screen, scroll mouse to top, right click tab (which is what extension is for), click cast, choose your chrome cast attached to TV, grab beer, recline and enjoy.

Don’t waste your time telling everyone what you hate, nobody else on the planet cares. At all, ever.

But thanks for the drive by opinion, even though no one cares.

If you push a button that finds you a 'random group' and it gives you a random group of people with random skill and random knowledge then you have no right to complain that a 'random group' button did what it was designed to do. The fault lies in your inability to make friends to play with instead of relying on a button designed to be random. It is a 'random group' button, not a 'best of the best' button.

I think all the preseason games are being played at the Blizzard arena in Burbank so I was gonna try to go see them in person, but it's just too busy of a week unfortunately.

I enjoy watching pro OW and I'm interested in how League does, but I'm not following it super hard. I have no idea what games have happened so far or who won.

I'm liking the Houston team, they showed they could play with the Koreans on much better ground than some of the other teams.

Just caught the last 2 maps of Shanghai-Boston. Have to say, that was a pretty impressive comeback by Boston. I thought they were dead in the water, but they won a huge team fight for a capture point and clawed back in it and prevailed. Then again, Shanghai got blown out in their previous game and Boston lost their first game so maybe neither team is that great and Boston just won the battle of the bads. Who knows!

I "adopted" Boston as my team since 1) There's no Dutch team and 2) I already follow Boston teams and the (also) Kraft owned New England Patriots very closely. So, go Uprising!

Not sure just how closely I'll follow the league, but it should be fun to watch every now and then and I'll probably definitely try to catch any post-season action (especially if Boston makes it).

IM kind of shocked to see Fuel get rolled so easy by Mayhem.

I don’t want to hear any more complaining about Widow since she has been key in almost every fight.

I posted that after the first match, the commentators then explained that they basically threw the match because they didn’t want to show their strategy for that map in preseason. They just played a “No strategy” strategy.

Ah, k. Didn't really notice the time compared to the matches because I didn't come back on here until after all the matches were over. I'm actually really excited to see Fuel this season. They look pretty good.

Things that I took away from this event was that Widow is the meta now to counter Mercy Meta. Bastion behind a shield on Junkertown is a must have. Tracer is also a must have on any team and nearly any map.

Attack Widow is > than defence Widow as she has more peek options and def widow has very few choices of positions which everyone knows.

Blizzard is sorta dropping the ball when it comes to supporting the league on their site. The event looked good, but the first night didn't have the broadcast and there isn't a consolidated news source on the site for the results, commentary, news articles about the players/teams/matches...etc.

I know this is their first outing, but really they had about a decade of pro sports web presence to study to do it right. Hoping they react swiftly and get some of this stuff. They certainly got enough money from the teams to support it.

Totally agree. The official OWL site is pretty devoid of actual content. There were pre-season matches? Where? It's not even on the front page. There should be highlights and match results and HYPE.

I went to look at the teams and there are listings of their rosters but nothing about the background of the players or the team owners or anything. Give me something to buy into and get invested in! I want to know if the guys on my hometown team have won Blizzcon or have dominated the competitive ladders or whatever. The barrier for entry should be very low for a new fan to find something interesting to read or get drawn into. It doesn't exist there.
