Oneth's Intuition doesn't make sense to me..

Ok so, Oneth's Intuition is ranked as one of BiS for single target, not multi target - yet its main benefits is it can cause Starsurge to give a proc chance to have Starfall for free and vice versa, but in reality, why would I ever cast Starfall in a single target fight for a "chance" to get a free starsurge? I don't see how this legendary is very good in single target?

It is a resource free resource spender. A free star fall is some decent dps even single target. The proc once it happens lasts until used so often gives you a free opener. If you get on a streak it can chain proc.

Starfall increases the damage of your dots which t21 also does when you cast starfall or starsurge.

On ST you don't cast starfall to try to get starsurges. You do your rotation like normal, and routinely get free starfalls, which do damage and amplify your dots, which can then in turn proc a free starsurge, etc etc.
The most difficult thing to do is accept that there is nothing wrong with things you don't like and accept that people can like things you don't.

You use it for the free Starfalls, not for the free Starsurges. Those are just a bonus. Don't underestimate the damage Starfall does.

I thought Starfall was part of the single target rotation?

Only with OI. Situations where you would use it don't realistically happen without it.

With OI and Stellar Drift, it's a bit of a DPS loss to use SF. Once 2 targets are up, it's a DPS gain (assuming you're also using SOTF).

That said, you can take a small DPS hit to drop a SF for moments of decent movement.
Still wondering why I play this game.
I'm a Rogue and I also made a spreadsheet for the Order Hall that is updated for BfA.

True, which can, in turn, be a dps increase. So it's usually recommended to take stellar drift IIRC unless you can turret the boss.

OI procs are such a boon when stellar drift is taken. Allows you to negate some dps loss during movement periods.

Well if you don't take SOTF, you likely won't want to hard-cast SF (spamming MF/using SS would be more ideal); if you need to hardcast SF for the movement, you should probably be using SOTF (or SOTA). If you have SOTF and/or you have OI on, SD is pretty much the go-to since NB is so... fringe. It's so minor that it's not worth even existing as a talent and really should just be baseline.

is why you use Oneth's. Edit the WA so the porn moan plays on both procs and when you get back to back procs it sounds like an orgy.

Some people simply do not have the Oneth's Intuition to understand how item works in this game.
