the style of the books were a little like that but well, no gods or monsters there. the movie is based on the 3 books annihilation, acceptance and authority written by jeff Vandermeer. Go read it, they are awesome.

Trailer looks good but also seems to be somewhat apart from the books. I enjoyed all of three of the books. Hopefully it's a fun watch.

Looks like it will get a cinema release in America but will drop on Netflix UK on the 12/03/18.
