Feral Inc/Jagged Wounds question: H Raiding and M+

As in the title, I'm torn between the two talents, and have a few questions on the two. Running with the talent ring, and running at 44%Crit and 69%Mastery (9% for the others). Brutal Slash and MoC are being run for both Raiding (only up to H progression and no further) and M+.

While Incarnation hits like an absolute mofo, I'm really not enjoying the cooldown aspect. How far behind would running JW be with my amount of Mastery? I'm assuming the more targets involved, the better JW becomes? Targets with smaller uptime would be better for JW?

While under the effects of Incarnation, do I need to completely ignore Brutal Slash (keeping it capped) while focusing on Shred as a builder?

Have simmed talents against each other, but hoping for some solid insight into them ♥

You are correct. Jagged Wounds is better in the following situations: shorter fights (ie. where you are just short of getting 2 incarns), multiple targets, or high mastery. Also, in the odd case you need higher sustained damage, it is better. Of course, you should always sim to figure out if its better based on gear.

And no, you should continue to use Brutal Slash during Incarn. It does significantly more damage at the same energy cost, the only draw back is the lower combo point generation, but you could just save charges.. I wouldn't let it stay capped ever.

Bleeds are dead. Even at high mastery, the way they scale with gear pales to the way shred/BrS scale. On that note, you should always sim your gear. If some how you had a fresh druid and got a ton of mastery gear that happened to be huge amounts of item level higher than your other gear, and you had low verss, high mast, it's possible JW will be a better setup for you. That being said, it's sub-optimal and you really want to swap to the vers incarn build.

Admittedly, having most of your damage front-loaded into a cooldown doesn't feel good, but that's the state of feral right now. That being said, if you're only doing LFR and normals, you could just play JW and go mastery. Anything higher difficulty than that, or M+, you would be dead weight to your group. The vers incarn build is very strong for M+ because you'll have incarn up for every boss and BrS scales very well with vers.

On that note, you absolutely use BrS during incarn, assuming that IF adds will be spawning at some point in the fight you'll have your charges full (but not waste charges by sitting capped). You want to use BrS when you can get the maximum damage from it because it already deals high damage. The damage buff from incarn and TF is where you'll use your first three in the start, then later on omen procs with TF up if they happen, or just omen procs. Again, you still would want to hold it if you're in a situation where adds will be spawning or the boss will get a damage taken increase.

Thanks for the info guys. I'll most likely just stick to Inc as the burst is quite amazing, though still not that happy about front-loaded cooldowns, that's the way it is.
I'm mostly on Heroic prog (and no further) and running around the 15+ keys. The info for the Slash use while in the Inc window is much appreciated as I was actually conflicted in it's ST use (but absolutely use with AoE phases). Jagged is nice (and I'd actually prefer to run it), but if it's suitably tuned to run with BT and SR, it may end up being less competitive.

So with running Inc in M+, I should really get a feel for when it's best to pop between bosses to have it up for when needed. It's something I've definitely been holding back on as there's the fear of not having it ready on a boss.

Moment of Clarity also buffs the damage of that ability by 20% - and Brutal Slash is THE hard hitting ability that makes the most use out of it. Especially in AoE.

If you don't like incarn SoTF is the better choice. For a lotta dudes it's starting to catch up, and even overtake with some gearsets. Right now its about 0.2% behind incarn the last time I simmed myself.

Same as this guy. It was like less than 1% dps decrease for me, but I like it way better than incarnation.

Should mention, this ofc is while running behe + chat with LI which is already running better for a lotta dudes than the SoTA ring even with incarn

Doesn't necessarily mean he has to, nor even that it's even the best Lego he could be using.
Chatoyant is generally better now if he has it available.
