    Mythic Portal Keeper

    Hello!

    We've been a little derpy this tier, so I wanted to check and make sure I wasn't missing anything on this boss. Or, if anyone has any insight to provide as to what caused them the most wipes, or things they'd suggest to make the fight much easier that'd be great!

    Available roster
    Tanks - war druid
    Healer - monk, shaman, druid, priest, paladin, monk

    Melee: fury warrior, arms warrior, 2 DH, 3 DKs, ret paladin
    Ranged: 2 locks, 3 mages, 3 hunters, sp, boomkin

    Usually I've seen the split equal about 7 dps up and 7 dps stay.

    Portal team - potentially both DH, arms warrior, hunter or two, mage?
    Platform team - potentially 2 DK, lock, boomkin - any others really good here? warrior, a mage?

    At the start of the fight or shortly after have both DH and Resto Druid go up and get green debuff, run over blow up away from group within 10 yards of fire dude, kill.

    DH take fire and drop it in purple.

    Around 63% send a DH up to get purple buff, blow up again on other side of raid. Some guilds seem to send another dps up at 60 to start getting purple and come over so it lasts just long enough to finish. Do you feel you need the 2nd debuff?

    30% shadow portal opens, go up, lust kill.


    Do you have to CD the bigger tank hits from going up in portals? I see some guilds just bringing a DK tank to help grip adds on occasion, and so that during portals you just keep tank stacks at 2. Is this necessary? Otherwise, tanks seem to move her for the world cast so that she spawns them away from portals so melee can still kill adds.

    Anything I'm missing?

    if u have fire mages don't send them into portals.
    they should use legendary head and make sure that dragon's breath is off cd once imps are up

    main reason to wipe are imps on main platform

    u can send frost mage into portal but make sure they save cds for every single portal.

    The two biggest wipes causes are messing up mechanics on the platforms (which is mostly trial and error, the Rancora one can get annoying) and imps. Anyone that can do CC and good aoe damage should stay down if you can afford it, especially if they're ranged DPS. A Fire mage can work well with Dragon's Breath, boomkins do huge AoE damage and can Solarbeam, but other specs can work; we had an Assassination rogue use the Fan of Knives legendary to carve the things to pieces, a Druid with Typhoon can also work. Fury has absurd burst AoE, Intimidating Shout to interrupt and an aoe stun but it can be hard to make it work because the boss likes to cast Collapsing World after imps.

    For the Rancora platform, our guild definitely used a 2nd debuff. We usually got her to 30% once the first one wore off which wasn't enough, she would then heal right back up. We had a healer get off and get the 2nd debuff once she was at 70-75% and dispel himself once he got back and was close enough.

    Once the platforms are done the fight is as good as over provded you didn't lose too many people.

    On our first kill we only used 1 debuff on the Fel portal, but we sent in extra DPS to make the DPS check. We had a Fury warrior and a Boomkin doing about 75% of all imp damage so we didnt need many people downstairs.

    It's basically just about finding the right DPS balance and heavily depends on your comp and your players. Generally the faster you can do portals the better, as long as you can keep imps under control. On mythic the portal/collapsing world timing is a bit different, and she usually spawns imps just before Collapsing world, we had the tank move the boss away after the imp portal so melee could help on imps.

    Should die relatively fast once you have imps under control and portals sorted, setting up healing CD rotation for the collapsing worlds will also help prevent a lot of wipes and works wonders for healer mana.

    we had all our dps save their cool downs for the purple add as well as pop pots.

    if dmg is still too low, then you make sure you grab a 2nd debuff.

    seems like you have the rest covered.

    need some raid cd's at the end of the fight (sub 25 to 20%) depending on your guilds DPS.

    Barrier, Shout, Link etc to help with 3 portals ticking damage
