My point is that when it's time to be quiet, you have to be quiet. Just because it's new years eve doesn't matter. There are people who really need to sleep, otherwise they can't perform the next day, and they have to perform good. Telling them to suck it up is not only disrespectful to them, but actually dangerous, because they won't be able to do their job properly, and their job is important. So it's wrong from every perspective to be loud just because it's new years eve. Them doing their job properly is way more important than you having a bit of fun by yelling.

If you want to be loud, you go to a club, not at a house in a residential area. These rules don't exist for no reason.
