For the most part I don't have the money to give a fuck about brands, the only one I do insist on paying more for is toilet paper. Buying cheap or no name brands is a big no-no in that area.

I don't blindly buy things due to brand, that's a good recipe for being a sheeple.

That being said, brands I like...

    1. North Face
    2. Asics
    3. Asus
    4. Bose
    5. Prismacolor

    I'm sure there's a correlation there.

Damn high class taste. Seen the price on a Gucci bag my jaw was all on the floor.

Or don’t touch me Elmo Doll.

I love North Face or Duluth Trading co best winter gear. But it’s an investment cause it’s expensive.

It varies for me but lately i've been listening to progressive metal and some alternative rock.
    1. Circa Survive
    2. Periphery
    3. Animals As Leaders
    4. Between the Buried and Me
    5. In Flames

Like I said it varies what I listen to. Months from now I'll strictly listen to rap or hip hop.

I could probably find different ones, but that'll do for the one minute I spent thinking.

I make it a point never to like a brand, since brands can turn shitty and let you down.

Whew! I was having some anxiety about that.

For your (more serious) list, I'd change Dr. Pepper with A&W. Diet version is acceptable. Tillamook is acceptable as a national brand, although I can find better cheese locally. REI is cool. HBO is cool, but really it's only GoT and John Oliver keeping me loyal.

    But Subaru? Ok.

My friend updated my list. She says it should be

    1. Jameson
    2. Jim
    3. Johnnie
    4. Jack
    5. White Castle

And I'm cool with that also.

Normally I do not take any notice of brands, preferring to do a bit of research into a product. But some do stand out over the years as consistent providers of quality shit. In no particular order, just some of those brands off the top of my head:

    1. Texas Instruments. If you want some really high quality sound system - these are your guys. A studio quality monitor sound system for example. An order of magnitude more expensive than most though.
    2. Pepsi
    3. Corratec - some of the best bikes you can get out of the box in terms of quality in all price ranges. You can not go wrong with their X-Vert line. I still use X-Vert for training when I have time. GT is nowhere even close in terms of quality vs price. Comanche do not break, they are sold broken.
    4. Haagen Dazs - some of the best ice cream you can get in a shop
    5. McDonalds - when in doubt in a foreign country about what you can eat without getting a food poisoning, that is your place. Sure, it is not regarded as healthy food. But it still beats MRE / IRP (or your country designation) rations in any category you can look at, including health issues.

Bosch is a shit company. Their lobbying for ABS made mandatory in the EU should of brought them lots of jail time.

    1. Coolblue. Coolblue is a Dutch/Belgian web shop focusing mainly on selling consumer electronics. They have excellent service, good prices, a broad product offer and are just an all-round cool company. They're one of the few companies that actually go the extra mile to make customers happy. Their interactions on social media are top notch. They've become an amazing brand.
    2. Blizzard. Blizzard has given me an amazing time these past 15 or so years. I've played a lot of their games, they have a proven track record of delivering a great gaming experience. It's one of the few brands in gaming I'll religiously defend.
    3. Ralph Lauren. Their dress shirts, polos, chinos and pullovers are simply the absolute best, while remaining an affordable luxury brand.
    4. Monster Energy Drinks. A juvenile one, but I really do like the taste of Monster energy drinks. It's one of the few products where I won't even buy a competitor brand if I'm looking for 0 cal energy drinks, I'd rather not drink them if I can't get any Monsters.
    5. Nike. All my gym gear is from Nike. I never cared much in the past and just bought discount equipment (shirts, pants, underwear, towels, shoes, whatever). I swapped to buying quality stuff last year and the difference is immense. They're much more comfortable to exercise in. I'm amazed at how well they actually perform. I'm never getting anything else again, they just don't disappoint me.
