How do I see old notifications once I've clicked on the link?

Sometimes I'll log in and see a few notifications where someone has quoted me. If I click on it, go to one of the posts where I've been quoted, and then click notifications again to see the rest of them they've all gone. How do I stop that from happening?

Oh, and is there an option to view older ones? The last ones that end at the "quotes" tab are from January :P

View Profile > Quotes. They're newest to oldest, I can see all of mine.

I just hit the back button and go back a screen and they are there >_>
