I can't wait to try this out. I've always been a dungeon spammer since the effort of running to a new zone every few levels is a bit annoying. I've got some characters ready to level through all the different zones. So long Cataclysm (aside from maybe Hyjal), so long Outland!

xp past 60 has not been increased?
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

man ill tell ya. One of the most enjoyable times in WoW was when I started an Undead Huntard and read EVERY QUEST TEXT and took my time through Silverpine, Arathi, Western PL and Eastern PL. all till Northrend at 72 when I stopped.

been wanting to do that again for years. Always head Stonetalon Mt. was sad and a good story but never did it since Vanilla.

Now the shitty thing is I have 2 more Legendaries to go then I get the random class ones.... I dont want to start and invest in a new class only to get a random leggo for another class a week later...

Allow me to know how taking 60% longer time to get to 110 is "nice"?

Obviously Blizzard wants to force people to level longer or buy the boost, this is another ploy to earn more money.
They are playing it on those that say it was so nice being vanilla, but really, do you want to spend extra 2-3 weeks or more
to get to the level of your main toon?

increase of level required by 60% and people applaud that.
Try get your new alt to 100 and see how fun that is, this will definately put an end to people alting without purchasing the boost.

yeah I thought the same thing "Ah yes I can't wait for leveling to be even slower and more boring now". In all seriousness please explain how leveling taking 60% longer is a good thing?

Yep, same. I have no idea why people are so excited about a substantially slower leveling process. It's still the same old shit zones.

Oh and lets not forget when they smash the xp for the 60-70 and 70-80 and 80-90 and 90-100, people will loooove that for sure...*golf clap*

I have several characters that exist for the sole purpose of questing and leveling. I for one(and the vast majority of people I know) welcome this change. Having the ability to go virtually wherever I want and never outlevel it, thus keeping it feeling relevant, AND not have to worry about leveling too fast is exactly the kind of thing I wanted.

XP isn't increased beyond 60, which is where the big numbers start.

90-100 will be mega easy, same xp, same treasure chests.

60% only from level 20-60 which were super fast anyway.

Because the mobs are scaling up to you, you ought to be getting more XP per kill which might offset the additional XP requirement a bit. Currently it's like one dungeon per level and almost a new dungeon unlock every level (in heirlooms) so maybe have to run each one twice now (which is actually good for efficiency as half the group may actually have seen the dungeon before lol).

Since IIRC the dungeon finder now offers a much larger range of dungeons, if I queue as say a level 50 healer for a level 20 dungeon, I think the mobs will look like level 50 to me, but will the other players still be level 20 making healing trivial?

I need to decide what my 60-80 route will be now.

80-90 will be a godsend now that all characters have pandaria flying.

Wonder if its dawned on anyone yet that these scaling zones mean that if a zone is say 35-60 and a higher end player is there leveling...its just asking for griefing to happen.

I mean come on, making areas more heavily trafficed by characters of such possibly large level gaps, you’re just asking for this to happen. More players out there at a given time, the ability for the zone to be of use and purpose for players anywhere from 5 to 35 levels higher than others....

Its going to just turn into a total clusterphuk for the lower end players leveling, having these higher player “threats” as a constant now in any zone they wish to participate in because they too have a legitimate purpose to be there for questing and the like.

If anything i see this turning into even more of a reason for players to just campout in cities and spam dungeon queues, specifically to avoid this “oh look i’m a level 20 doing this quest to kill these mobs” and BOOM suddenly a 20-30-40+ level character thats doing the same quest just one shots and proceeds to camp them for the simple sake of doing so to grief this questing playe.

The chance to find one of these lower level characters to do so to is so much further increased than it was previously with these griefers having to patrol the whole damn zone just trying to find someone at random..these changes make finding targets as simple as just leveling themselves and they’re right there for them having to traffic the exact same questing path for the zone.

I offset the additional XP requirement by leveling my characters before the patch.

It doesn't work like that, a level 50 will have higher health mobs on his screen then a level 20.

Even if fighting the same mob/boss. Back when they had scaling world bosses during the anniversary event, Green dragon would have like 2 million health for a 60, but 500 million health for a 110. etc.

And when it comes to pvp, that's gonna be changed in 8.0 with the new toggle system to only be in zones with pvpers or pvers.

And until 8.0 which will be months and months away, easily 4+ we will get to sit through this constant griefing and ganking

As for zone mobs, i am well aware, what i said is that both players will be after the same mobs, as they will be on the same quest, thus putting them in close proximity of eachother, nothing about a level 20 having to fight a mob scaled to level 60, mob health differences or anything of the like. That was never stated.

The whole post was in regards to these now upcoming months of PvP bullsheyt we will be getting to put up with for low level players just trying to quest, with now having countless times more high level players trafficing the zones which they are trying to level through and will be forced to share with a mutual purpose, that being leveling, rather than the much less likely reasons a low level will be found by a higher level player and put in the position of being ganked, griefed and camped that we have now, pre-this zone change.

The mob will not scale up if a 60 hits it, and a 20 hits it, each get their own health bar, it might be 10k health for a 60, and 3k health for the 20, they see the same health %.

As far as a 61-110 hitting low level mobs/players, that's been in the game ever since, and a 61 would get like no xp whatsoever killing 60 mobs or lower since it's an "expansion" cap.

They had hallows end last year, the horseman could be fought by pretty much anyone, level 5 or 110, lower level actually did more % health damage unless a 110 was like raid geared of course. (talking about the one that spawns in low level towns after putting the fires out).
