Patch 7.3.5 - Achievement Changes

• All existing 10-player and 25-player Ulduar Achievements have been moved to the Legacy -> Raids tab.
• Anyone who earned either the 10- or 25-player versions of the Ulduar Achievements should receive the new Achievement upon logging in.
• The new Glory of the Ulduar Raider Achievement should now award both the Rusted Proto-Drake and the Ironbound Proto-Drake mounts.
• Old achievements that required you to complete a number of quests in a zone have been changed to require you to complete the story quests instead.
• Allied Race achievements were added.
• More Prestige achievements were added.
• Legion Season 7 achievements were added.
• Seething Shore achievements were added.
• New Pet Battle PvP achievements were added.

It will be easier I think, you have more people. The damage and healing output of toons at 80 now is higher than it was back then, even in 226 gear (232 for weapons), you could already sort of cheese it with TOC and ICC 5 man gear which had more stats than actual ulduar 226 gear.

Our abilities and spells just hit harder and heal more. Even with scaling mob HP in the raid going in with a full 25 man group over the 10 people it used to be will make it a hell of a lot easier. Having 1 person die (somehow) in a 10 man run is 10% of the raid size gone, compared to 4% for 25 man. having someone die in 10 man has bigger impact than a single person on 25.

Unless they overtune it shouldnt really be an issue.


Post stat squish in BFA might be a different story. Plus the achievement will need tweaking anyway since item level is getting squished too. 226 wont be "10 man ulduar" anymore.

Not only is the point loss annoying asf, but also the fact that now Legacy/FoS is cluttered with so much "pruned" stuff, that its no longer a place you'd ever check, since now it doesnt only include prestigous, ancient fos's but more like 999 random shit from ulduar.

Used to be the first thing u checked was achievements, then the guys FOS.

I remember the time it took me to do the 10man XT achievement with a group, because we had to throttle our dmg and coordinate exactly. Glad i'm unsubbed, would have been so pissed off.

It isn’t unheard of to lose achievement points in a large content patch.

In game I have lost 845 points. Feels bad? Checked Armory....lost a total of 4210 points o.0 wrote a ticket and got a reply that:
"the achievement points themselves were originally designed for something else and back then in that moment they would have been worth something with the ideas we have, this was back in WOTLK, since then that idea was dropped and the points litterally are meaningless. Think of this as a stat squash nothing changed, we did some database tidying and reduced numbers across the board."

I have been trying to gather as many achievements as I could so clearly it is not "meaningless" to people like me, and 4210 points is like my last half a year as at this point it's quite a challenge to even get one achiv.
